[The face of a young boy sitting quite casually in one of the shuttles appears on the screen. All the steady eating has brought his apparent age closer to nine or ten, even if he's really probably thirteen.]

[She wishes they talked more about France in history class rather then just the colonies history.]

No. They were never going to want just that.

[He'd known the risk he was taking. But he hadn't really thought it would happen.]

....barricades don't end well. ....we had some to keep away the monsters and I only got away because I can fit where they can't.

[She thought that maybe people wouldn't kill everyone in his story like the monsters did in hers....but he is from a really long time ago.]

I could have gotten away like that, if I'd gone the other way. But we were almost out of ammunition.

We were trying to escape into the vents when the monsters burst through. The soldiers couldn't stop them and ....Timmy tried to shoot them ....after they got mommy.

But it didn't work and he left me alone.

[She's only seven but she both misses and hates her brother for that. She was alone for so long because her brother just wouldn't run with her.]
