[ No video, here -- really, despite the obvious setbacks to this place, Wash has to say he prefers its communication devices to the seals. At least he's not hearing voices in his head anymore. (Aside from the normal ones, that is.) ]

So I'm wondering.

[ He's looked through the network, but for some reason, he can't seem to find an answer to what he thinks is a rather simple question. ]

Every few weeks, the ship makes a jump, and we go heading off somewhere else, right? Just making our way through this system.

The question is: why? Where exactly are we going? It's not like the ship's just driving itself.

[ ...At least, he hopes not. That business with the corridors was bad enough. ]

Anyone out there got an answer?

[ Medieval princess, +1. Excuse her while she fumbles with her device for a ridiculous amount of time before smoothing her hair in an attempt to not look half as frazzled as she truly is. ]

This is a ship, is it not? And all ships must have captains, even ones that are empty. Surely, he knows which harbor we're meant for.

[ She's still wrapping her head around the whole 'electricity' thing. Hand-held communications devices. ]

A king is not held beholden to explain his rule to his people. I would assume a captain is much the same in matters involving his ship.

[ Whether this leads to the king losing his head or the captain having his throat slit in his sleep is another matter entirely. ]

That's something we'd all like to know. [ Have an annoyed psychiatrist, also audio, and also slightly frustrated. ]

I've yet to see the captain and first officer.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised.

No, but if Ward and Resnik ever make another appearance it's something that should be asked.

[ It's a fantasy analogy, man. Just wait until she gets to the dragons. ]

Not our ruler, perhaps. But ruler of his ship. It would be left to him to decide which of us may remain as its passengers. Which rules are law within its bounds. And in which direction it goes.
