General relativity describes how space-time operates. As best as I can figure out, the only way that we can appear from different points in our own timeline has to do with the application of gravity. I don't know for sure, but I think that the Jump affects gravity in a manner that we don't understand yet. I keep redoing the equations, but there's a problem with the constants that I can't puzzle out. If we accept, though, a quantum model, that states that everything that can be will be (1=.9999999999999 into infinity) and that every movement of electrons at a quantum level can influence the separation of universes, then there's an infinite number of universes, right?

And we're all here because some function of the Jump Drive, that can influence matter at a quantum level. In another version of this universe, it's not you here. It's your brother, or your sister, or your cousin, or other people you don't know. But someone from your world is here in an untold number of universes, but in some universes this ship has reached a location, or has stopped moving and has killed everyone within, and space continues, bounded and infinite at once-

I dropped a violin, the other day, during the...incidents. It was in a black case, and when I went back for it, it was gone. I would really like it if whoever picked it up could return it to me. It means a lot to me, and it's very delicate. I would like it back, please.

Oh! I've studied quantum physics for a while now, and... well, there's something else, too, to do with the theory of infinite universes. Would you possibly consider speaking with me? I would love to hear what you have to say.

Particle physics - quantum physics, sorry - has shown that electrons can behave, on a quantum level, like they exist in two places at once. So the suggestion is - the math is - that if this is true, then each time an electron diverges (pops out or back into existence) that it is creating an alternate reality, or moving in an alternate reality.

So you can perceive it as something like - today you chose to ask me this, but in an alternate reality, you chose not to. This is happening on a fundamental, universal level all the time. And what I'm saying is that there is a possibility that the Jump Drive operates on this principal, and that there are an infinite number of other realities where this ship exists that we do not exist with it, or we do-

Anyway, the crux of it is, I think that the Jump Drive and the Jump is affecting quantum space, as well as manipulating gravity - that's the only way that time is manipulated in space. Through gravity.

so if the jump really is involved with quantum space, what does that mean for us in the long run?

Okay, imagine-

Imagine that every decision you make, you create a new and completely different universe. That every universe exists another version of you, that has to deal with the consequences of every decision. These universes are limitless and boundless. The math tells us that this actually is very likely, which I think is why there are people with the same faces, or the same people, but with different experiences here, because I think this ship is manipulating quantum space and gravity to make this happen, with technology that we don't really understand yet.

What that means for us, is if we can figure out the math and the principles at work, and gain access to the Jump drive, we may be able to go home.

Because anything that can be, might be.

Rather, because mathematics dictates that if electrons, at a quantum level, can exist simultaneously as they don't exist (which we know they do) then there must be an infinite number of potential worlds where they exist while they don't exist in our own. Every decision in which there is more than one potential outcome diverges at a quantum level to create a new, separate, and unique universe.

It's called the Many-Worlds Theory.
