On behalf of SEC; If you've been contacted by an unknown source, especially one that may or may not be a violent and potentially sadistic AI, don't follow it into the corridors. No matter what it promises, it should go without saying that it's very dangerous to follow a potential terrorist's orders, especially if it's leading you into unmapped parts of the ship. Anyone who's had contact with suspicious broadcasts should speak with COMM or SEC so that we can piece the stories together.
... Another thing. For those who might've known Javik, who was here a few months ago and was killed at the start of the 33rd jump; did he ever mention anything about something called a "beacon?" Or, did he leave behind any personal possessions? Thanks in advance.
Shepard out.

[The second part of her message has him curious, however.]
Don't think we ever met, but what kinda 'beacon' you talkin' about?
They're usually pretty big; I guess they could be comparable with streetlights in height, at least. They can be hard to detect if they're not out in the open.
[ Unless you've been in contact with one, like Shepard. ]
It's... hard to explain. Maybe glowing green, emitting energy waves?
[At least not what he's picturing. Who's to say how accurate that image is.]
Green, huh. [If it's not concealed, that would sure as hell get someone attention.] What makes you ask, anyway?
[ Not a treasure hunt. It wouldn't make sense to hide it when most couldn't get any information from it. ]
Just thinking. ... Wasn't here before he died, but if he'd left a beacon behind, it might've had some clues as to what happened, or what he was getting into before it happened.
[Hell if he knows. He doesn't know Javik from Adam, after all.]
You missed him entirely, huh. [At least that's what it sounds like -- she came in sometime after he'd gone. That's rough.] I know I'm not much help, but if I see or hear anything, you can be sure you'll be the first one to hear about it.
[ Not that she blamed him for the latter. Or for not making it known if he did, in fact, have possession of a beacon; in the wrong hands, it might've been bad, depending on what was stored there... ]
Thanks; it's good to have an extra pair of eyes. This ship's pretty big and we haven't seen most of it, from what I've heard.

[ Addresses, not just numbers. ]
what did the beacon look like
text.
Big, usually. Sort of like a monument. Sometimes giving off light or energy.
anon ∞
didn't see it though
[ ...When he raided Shepard's cabin, that is. Yeah, what. ]

... Don't we have a better name?
So he's contacting passengers?
Apparently. I've seen a few things on the network and I've heard about a few incidences. People're going missing in the ship and that's aside from the number we've had in comas since the last jump.

[For lack of a better way of putting it. Hooray, more work for us!]
