[Not that she's the leading type, but it -- seems like it's going to be necessary, at least until Shepard shows up. She just has to have faith that Shepard will show up.]

Really? [ Tapping his fingers thoughtfully. ] Find out what you can. I've been asking about the ship's defense systems, that's where I'll be most useful, if they need the help.

I'm just trying to figure out a way for us to track the signal on these communicators on our own.

I thought of that. I'm hoping to be able to trace out my path to the engineering bay so that I can get down there again without an ... escort.

Do you want me to mention you? It will make us seem more trustworthy as a group.

[She ... pauses, as if she's not sure if she should say the next statement on her mind.]

With Kasumi here, we might need a little extra help. She's charming, but her -- compulsions could get her into trouble, and I don't want that.

I trust your judgement. If you think it'd help, go ahead, but I'd still be careful about keeping them at arm's length.

[ He's cool with Kasumi. Kind of. Shepard trusts her, that's good enough for him, not to mention they did just kind of all go through hell together and get out, that does wonders for bonding. ]

She told me she's willing to stay out of the way, but with her skills, she'd be better at exploring the ship than anyone else.

And she managed to keep out of trouble well enough, with Shepard.

It might be worth it to get them to trust us, though. Access to priviledged information and all.

[She nods, helmet bobbing.] I think she'll manage well enough, but it doesn't help to put yourself out there in a positive light.

It could help with the other passengers trust us too.

It looks like a tough group, actually. If I was a mysterious force abducting people for unknown but nefarious purposes, I'm not sure this is who I'd pick. Seems like more trouble than it would be worth.

Unless I was trying to build some sort of army, I guess.

We do. The first is given by the parents, the middle designates an adult or a child, and the last designates the ship they consider home.

These ships become important enough that you name yourselves for them. Seems like a waste of energy to call something like that home.

Some of us don't have home planets to go back to any more.

Depends on how long your people live I suppose. For some a few hundred cycles are simply a blink of the eye.

We live more or less the same time as humans. Sometimes less time, depending on whether we fall victim to illness or not.

With so many foreign bodies in this ship, I'd say it's probably more dangerous than most ships.
