[ The feed shows the long and yawning corridor typical of Tranquility. It’s not readily discernible which part of the ship this is, but for people who have been aboard for at least one month, perhaps one of these two faces is familiar. There’s a blonde man, perhaps in his mid-thirties or more, in an oatmeal-colored jumper and jacket. He’s got an earnest sort of face, but it’s hitched into bemusement as he’s clearly trying to discern what to do with the communicator. Over his shoulder, there’s a pale, gaunt-faced man looking vaguely annoyed at his shorter companion’s ineptitude, or perhaps he’s just impatient about remaining still to begin with. They’re both showing signs of wet hair, probably recently from the shower, which isn’t at all surprising given what everyone is waking up as. ]

We’ve taken the lift as directed to the first floor of the passenger area to try and find which rooms have been set aside for us. We’ve found a pair of rooms that open for us like the lockers but...
Well, it seems someone’s already settled into them. We’re not contesting anyone’s living space here, obviously, but we are rather tired and we’d like to know if there’s any open housing that we can access?
For reference, the rooms in question are first floor, 197 and 198. If you’re the owner of either of these, would you mind directing us to whichever rooms you were originally assigned? I mean, we assume there’s no doubling of numbers, so if that’s wrong, please correct us.
[ The older of the two gives a slight, pinched smile. Polite. ]
I’m John Watson, by the way. This is my colleague, Sherlock Holmes. On top of asking for a few answers, we’re also offering our help once we’ve had a moment to settle. I’m a medical doctor where I’m from and Sherlock is... well, if you’re from anywhere in London, you’ve likely heard of us both, actually.
Really egging on the ‘Hatman’ and ‘Robin’ comments so early in, John? I don’t understand why our kidnappers have left me the funny hat? What am I supposed to do, play a match of death frisbee with it?
Fanservice, perhaps? Go on, I know you brought it along - put it on.
[ Bit of a smirk forming on John’s face. ]
[ Obligatory eyeroll from the consulting detective. No, John. Just - no. ]
We’re seeking accommodations. Reasonably sized, enough for two men to co-habit together. Although, I am currently unaware of what counts as currency on this ship - there are a number of items that we’d be willing to barter for living arrangements.
Just to clarify, we’ll be needing two separate bedrooms. If that means two different flats, that’s fine. We’re not sure how this all works. Once we saw there was someone living in the rooms we’ve been assigned, we left, of course. Didn’t really get a chance to look around.
Actually, if anyone’s willing to just let us kip on their lilo at this point, that’d be fantastic.
