[ Allison sounds kind of pensive, and she's actually hesitated asking this question directly on the network in the first place, but at the same time, she wants an answer and isn't sure anyone from home can give it to her. If she's going to worry them anyway, she might as well get one, right? ]

So, how does time work here? Back home, it was November, and I've been here at least three jumps... so I guess it would be.. [ She counts silently for a second. ] March? Which means I missed my birthday. Is that how it works?

[ She goes to end the call, but doesn't end it before people can hear her mumble: ]

I never thought I'd get to see it.

[ She hears that's supposed to be a good age. ]

[ A small sigh. ] Yeah. That makes me an adult. I guess. I don't feel like one.

I hear that's normal.

[ Natasha's voice lifting a little, like there's a smile in there. ]

Did you have a party?

[overdraws]

Not yet. I think once my best friend gets wind of this I won't have a choice, but... I'm kind of fine without one?

voice.

[debts]

You're eighteen. You should have one. [ 'Should.' ]

voice.

[overdraws]

I know. I might do something. I don't know. Like I said, I'm pretty sure Lydia would flip if I didn't do something, and I'd be a horrible person if I took away the chance to plan a party from her.

voice.

[debts]

She loves you.

[ It's said kind of idly, in that way that doesn't actually mean much. Love and friendship goes pretty hand in hand, and it's not like Natasha imbues some kind of heavy meaning into everything she says. ]

You could just tell her you don't want one.

[overdraws]

She'd just do it anyway. [ Allison knows that Lydia loves her. Lydia is basically the closest thing to a sister she's had since Kate; she's someone Allison would literally die for (again). Lydia would only do it out of love and nothing else, so when Allison speaks about it, her tone is fond. ] Sometimes it's just easier to give in, especially when it's not a big deal.
