TEXT MISFIRE
I'm not sure whether I can do this whole sick thing anymore. What if I tried shooting myself?
[That was supposed to go to Ianto Jones, although it's doubtful even Ianto would be pleased to read it.]
((ooc note: for those that don't know jack harkness' character, he's immortal. when he dies his body sort of resets itself. he doesn't usually even get sick. which is why he is dealing with it so bad that he would (feverishly) text ianto contemplating a hard reset. he's probably not even half serious about it, he's just miserable and being miserable at ianto. only a few people know about his ability so far, some he's told because it's necessary, some having found out due to events around arima. this texting blunder is sure to raise a lot of questions, and basically make jack ever regret having picked up his communicator in the first place.))

[Caaaarefully side-stepping answering that question, as much as he can. If he can, that is.]

[Ianto told her. Ages ago.]

[The warning bells are going off he's not sure whether she believed that he was serious or not, not knowing that she knows. It's her phrasing though, it's curious. Very curious.]

Yeah... Sorry. I'll be fine, don't worry about me. If anything, worry about my luck and poor sense of humor?
[There, maybe that will work?]

Re: text.
[So much backtracking to cover up this HUGE error - damn the network and whatever's causing these errors, he really did address that to Ianto when he'd sent it.]
Well, at least then I'd be put out of my misery. I'm not used to being sick. It was SUPPOSED to be an in-joke.
[And it is. ...of sorts.]

worse than not dying in the first place
for real though, being dead is way more complicated than you think.

Getting shot is than a lot of other alternatives, trust me on that.
[Oops, he should really be watching what he's saying here. Too bad he's got this fever and headache and his better judgment has apparently gone to hell.]

Well. I've been here for longer than it's been since I've been sick, so...
[By a good century or two, even.]

Oh, you know me...
[And he does, actually, after that business on the station.] If it gets bad enough, a reset might not be that crazy of an option.

Yeah, me too. And it does. Sorry. I guess my sense of humor is feeling about as off as I am myself.

I don't doubt it. I wouldn't have thought that a gun would be your weapon of choice, though.

That is no answer to this dilemma.

Maybe not. But it would give me something to do besides being sick and miserable. It's been a LONG time since I've felt like this.
