What are the ways that you might woo someone you would like to know better? Ladies, what might a gentleman do, specifically, to ensure that he remains respectful to you, above everything else, even while he is asking you to potentially...

[The problem, Combeferre would point out, is one of environment and influence more than something within humanity itself. Of course, it is all rather conjecture at this point, more philosophy than anything else. He'd actually be quite interested to debate the point, to pull things out, and examine them if she is all interested. But that IS for another day, after all.]

Well, easiest in the sense that at least it would be out there before anything begins. It would prove rather awkward after the fact, and I would seem less than sincere.

No, they aren't. They wouldn't be worth it if they were.

[Combeferre could easily believe in that sort of answer, given the world he's come from. It's rather, well, old fashioned, vaguely chauvinistic and harmful to women in many ways. Someday he'd like to see that change , but progress is rather slow.]
