I know we're all from other worlds and we're all possibly quite different, but I think it might be a good idea to meet up from time to time. Or at the very least know where the others are on this ship.

Uh- Yeah, I guess. Though you'd be better off callin' me a Craftsman. Wizards are a lot more powerful than anything I can manage.

Well, yeah, I guess. Though wizards are usually what you call non-human magic guys. Unless a craftsman gets that powerful. I don't know the rules of it all for sure.

[Is this girl for real with that hat. Regina raises an eyebrow with an amused smirk. It looks like it came from a costume store in the World Without Magic. Still, she holds in the snark. Silly hat or no, she can use the help of other magic users. She still wants to get back to Henry, and she doubts anything other than magic will work.]

I suppose I qualify, though I've never really used the title. ["Evil Queen" was the one that stuck, but she had a feeling leading with that wouldn't be a good way to win friends.]

[It's becoming quite clear that there are many different types of people with magic in different worlds. She just hopes Granny is willing to be open minded about it all.]

Mayor Regina Mills. [She smiles. It's not a lie, of course. She is the Mayor. But it's not the full truth either. Still, if she can get away with ditching the "Evil Queen" title, she'd very much like to.] But you can call me Regina.

There are a wide variety of magic users aboard, from an equally wide variety of worlds. Some of them are disinclined to operate in public due to coming from places where magic is outlawed, or otherwise believed to be imaginary by the general public, requiring closed or secret societies.

My name is Professor Severus Snape. I am a wizard, which in my world is just a different gendered word for witch; we're considered the same. I've been working on documenting the way magic works on the ship via the Xenobiology and Genetics department. Some time ago there was a call to form a coven, but to my knowledge it went nowhere.

That makes sense. There are still places on my world where it is not safe to be a witch either.

There may be too many differences between the magic users to form a group but I'll try in my spare time to see if we can get something growing out of this. Or at least offer up a time and place for people to come and talk together.

How has the documentation been coming along?

Unevenly, but that's as much as can be expected. Another witch was working on it with me but she's vanished at this recent jump. An area I had warded extensively has become distorted, which should prove beneficial for investigation, but it will take a bit of time.

What do you hope to find by studying the way magic works here?

Obviously, so that we know how magic works here. It is a benefit in itself. So that no one ends up in a situation where they harm themselves or others due to attempting something that's normal at home but backfires here, so that no one wastes time trying to help someone with something that won't work here. So that if we come to a roadblock we have a better understanding of how to work around it. So that if we need to perform a ritual or make a potion we know what the ingredients here do. The list goes on.
