Video, the questions you have

[The video feed shows a very pale face in a rather dim room. A popular solution, most likely.]

There are some things I'll never understand about this ship. How it can make people sick without a stomach.

[THere's a grimace and her next comment is directed down toward her lap.]

Ow, Rincewind, claws.

[She looks back at the camera]

The other being how they can enhance these feelings when I don't have nerves.

[Seriously, having to be so mortal is getting annoying!]

Would it be rude to ask what you are? If so, ignore me.

Like a poltergeist?

[ That's slightly nicer than trying to compare her to a boggart or dementor, okay. ]

[ Sounds like a poltergeist to him, given that he has no idea other worlds might have their own versions, except— ]

I guess calling mischief fundamental would be giving it too much credit. What does qualify?

The ship does what it wants when it wants. It can make us think things and feel them. Someone in my class did a report on PTSD and the after-effects of war. After someone loses a part of their body or has it amputated, sometimes they can still feel it there. So, it's like that.

You're in sensory overload, too?

Apparently. Can I ask what you should be or is that overstepping?

[Dim rooms are good rooms.]

I am not sure that I want to know how they enhance such feelings.

[Look, it's a grumpy elf.]

No stomach or nerves. Does that make you an android? Someone screwing with your programming?
