[He's already starting to feel restless; too much time being idle has never sat well with him, and now that the constant motion of war has become his norm, that fact is more true than ever. The novelty of being reunited with his wife after so many months of separation, while a temporary happiness, would never be enough to fully sustain him. He won't be held captive here, and he won't simply sit back and wait for things to happen.
