I...think I've figured this thing out, at least I hope so. It's working, right? Hello? Is anyone there? My name is Marco Bodt and it'd be really great to hear from someone else. I'm not really a big fan of talking to myself, you see...

I thought I was fairly good at finding my way around but I managed to get myself lost. Really lost. I don't even know for how long...and I've a lot of questions, but I'm not even sure I'd understand the answers if I manage to get any. Everything about this place...I just don't get it. I'd think I was dreaming or dead, but if that were the case I wouldn't feel hungry or thirsty, right?

_{[And boy is he feeling hungry and thirsty. He's barely eaten anything the past couple of days aside from a few things he took when he ended up wandering through the gardens.]}

A little help would be appreciated, really. Or a lot. A lot of help would be just as swell.

Anyone can get lost in a place they're unfamiliar with, Jean.

There are ways of figuring out where you are. Did you at least find where your room is?

I managed to once...but I haven't been back there since.

What's your room number? You could take one of the lifts back to your room, or at least in that general area.

[ He thinks. Honestly, getting around this place is still a huge mystery for him. ]

Oh, that's near mine. [ He's starting to finally calm down. ]

Not too long, probably a week or so but I had someone fill me in with how things works around here.

Ah, is it? _{[How lucky!]} And that was lucky. I haven't really run into anyone yet.

Yeah. I'm at 157.

I'm not too sure about lucky; the guy was pretty...full of himself. [ or obnoxious. not quite sure if he should be saying that publicly though. ]

Even so, he was nice enough to tell you about this place, right?

Sure. I got the feeling he was doing it to prove a point halfway through it all.

Well, I'll try and find my way back to one of the lifts. Should I meet you at your room then?

Uh... you know what, let's go with yes, for now. Anyways, I do a lot of walking around this place. If you turn on the picture and show me where you are, I can try to come find you and help you out.

How do I turn it on?

...really? You figured out how to - you know what, never mind. Hold it in front of you and you should see a blue circle and two half-circles in the bottom corners. When you see that, tap either one of the half-circles, doesn't matter which side. That should get you four little pictures on the middle circle. You got it?

_{[He does what he's told, fumbling a bit with the device when, with a hushed sound of surprise he holds the device back from him, albeit upside down.]}

This place is like a damned maze. It's not a good idea to go out wanderin' on your own... but I guess you've noticed that by now. [Murphy himself has learned this the hard way.]

If you can find a lift or somethin', you should be able to get back. If not, some landmarks would be helpful to find where you are.

[He's gotten himself lost enough times to be able to tell, most of the time.]

I came out of a lift not too long ago...if I can manage to find my way back to it then I should be all right?

For how long have you been lost? And where were you trying to get to, before you became lost?

[Even without the tricks of this ship, it is very easy to lose your way, if you are not accustomed to it.]

I...think probably a few days now. I decided to wander after having found the room that was assigned to me but now I can't find my way back.

The device, you mean. There are not people inside of it. Only pictures of people. It is called video.

Video, huh. It's...really strange. I've never seen anything like it before.

Neither had I, when first I came aboard this ship. But I am far more used to it now--and you will be, too. A video is only like a picture that moves. It lets you see images of those who you speak with, so you will later recognize them when you meet. And it can make record of things, so you do not forget, the same way a painting might.
