[It's been some days before Konoe's decided to ask about how the communication device works, and turning it on for the first time, he still has little idea of what he wants to do with it. So here's a view of him, blinking back and tipping his head a bit, wondering what he's supposed to look for.]

[Asato appears behind him, ears alert and eyes bright. He's had his own share of troubles with the communicators, so he wants to help Konoe with this as much as he can.]

Now Konoe can say or ask anything, to anyone on the ship.

Oh... [Suddenly he seems worried, turning to him quickly - ] Should I have asked something first?

I don't think there's any "should" to it. [He moves in so his own face is in view, shoulder-to-shoulder with Konoe.] If there's something important that Konoe wants to tell people, or something you want to find out...A lot of people here don't understand things the way Ribika do.

[Konoe frowns, eyes sliding back to the screen. His own ears turn downward just a little. Maybe he should've waited a bit longer....]

I'll... think of something. Unless....

[His ears go upright again, a newfound determination in his face.]

If - Asato's here, too, so - if anyone's got something to ask us...!

[Asato smiles and nods in agreement.] Konoe knows a lot about lots of things. Just don't be mean to him! We only want to help. [He frowns towards the screen as if in warning, but does so only briefly before turning and nudging his head against the smaller Ribika, and--is he purring?

He's purring. This is a thing Ribika do.

They're a bit of a weird race sometimes.]

You don't have to - Asato, cut it out -

[His attempt to move the bigger cat off is half-hearted at best. The sound even makes him smile a bit, but not enough to distract him from his message.]

I mean, I don't know everything but... yeah, that's all.

[And once more, he whispers aside.]

What do you do when you're done? I think I'm done....

[He pushes it for Konoe to show him, and it cuts off the feed at that point.]

[Said ears twitch at the question, and Asato looks down to Konoe, then back to the screen.]

I've had people touch mine before. I don't know what's so interesting about it, but for me it's okay. I just don't like when people don't ask first.

[Konoe nods once at his side.]

Konoe was a spy. That's what they said. He was staying in Kira, and the chieftain said he was a spy and needed to be killed.

[His tail can be seen waving behind him before it moves down, curling loosely around Konoe's wrist, just out of view.]

I don't know how much of that is true. But I didn't want them to hurt Konoe. So I distracted them so Konoe could get away. Then I ended up here, somehow.

[Such a new world - he's just getting a grasp on what video is, himself.]

[Konoe stays quiet during his retelling. This is all Asato understood, and for now, that's enough... it just mattered that he was back.]
