I've received nothing since my first jump but from it was an exquisitely adequate bottle of brandy and a deck of my best cards. What does this say? I have gone over these clues for months, and yes, I've found my answer. For once, I will allow Scotus to peek his head and say, "Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate." That is right, I must indulge myself in every mixture of alcohol I can attain—which I am well on my way to doing, if I may say—and find a group with which I may gamble, as well as goods that will make it worthwhile.

Now, solely to fulfill my given purpose, who will accompany me in this? I have cards, but I will also accept dominoes, dice, whatever foreign method you could desire. My only request is that we play honorably, or the spirit shall desert us. [ Was this entirely to ask for gambling partners?? Yes. ]

It's strange you mention the things we've been given. My moths arrived at one such point, of all things. While I was INFINITELY glad to see them...a jar of dead moths...it IS fairly odd.

I would not be surprised at that, given that the...Smiley entity who taunts us and I have exchanged words to that effect. No confirmations of course, so I would hate to draw conclusions as of yet, but in the matter of guessing..I would think it likely.

I have delayed it solely for the reason that I've no currency that might be accepted, but at this point I likely have gathered enough to place on a table. I have been given, at the jump, a compass which does not know right from down, or up from left; and nearly in that order. It is quite broken, and fidgets constantly, but it is a pretty trinket. That aside, I've my books; which have ever been my friend's to borrow; the gift of greenery from Bahorel-- but alas, you lament the language of flowers-- and a watch of which I could not part with.

I admit though, I have held out on you, most cruelly. I do have in my possession a number of truffles.

A game using small tiles... the objective is to match tiles together until you've no more in your hand. But if you've nothing to gamble, then it will be difficult.
