Ianto isn't doing so well right now. You know he's sick when he's letting me touch his things like this. [There's definitely a touch of concern in Jack's voice, here. Just how sick is Ianto, you might wonder...] Anyway, he made me promise to get this posted for him, so here it is. For all the newbies and for everyone out there who needs to read up on everything that's been going down on this ship. Figure this might shed a little light.

[Claire sounds sympathetic when she speaks. After bonding with Jack during the last bout of crazy on board, she's pretty confident that's concern she's hearing in his voice.]

I'm sorry Ianto's sick. It's nothing serious, right?

[Oh, it's definitely concern alright. Ianto being sick enough to admit defeat? He's pretty sick indeed. Or at least he's going to lead you to believe as much.]

I don't know. I hope not. I've never seen him like this before though...

[Really though Jack, Ianto doesn't really get sick a lot to begin with, maybe you should share that much as well.]

((ooc: no worries! sorry this took so long to respond to on my end and i'm gonna tag back the thread here in just a bit! and obviously, i'm not expecting claire's offer to be one that's used for cr or anything since ianto is 'sick' due to ooc player stuff, but she had to at least offer. :)))

Your blood...? [Claire, have you covered this with him before? He doesn't think he remembers you mentioning this during your earlier get-together. The offer intrigues him though.]

[A pause as Claire realizes nope, she never mentioned her blood. Oops. She sounds a touch sheepish now.]

Yeah. My blood can heal other people the way my ability heals me. [A pause.] I probably should have mentioned that before, huh?

[Yeah, he's pretty sure he'd remember that one if you'd talked about it before, Claire.]

I dunno. I can see how it might be something you might not want getting out to the general public. That's got to be pretty handy, though. Is it an injection sort of thing or...? [For some reason Jack's thinking vampires here, which he knows can't be right.]

You know, I hope someone thanks you for this every month. Whoever does it. It's very hard helping people sometimes. This gives help without them having to ask for it, you know. A salve of sorts for wounded pride.

[And for the content, this sounds way too chipper.]

I can't speak for him entirely, but I do know he could stand to be thanked more often. I think more often people are generally complaining that he doesn't have more.

[A crooked smile.] You know how people can get.

People are interesting. But tell him Juliana said thank you. Maybe a big hug, too.

Juliana, huh? Captain Jack Harkness, pleasure to meet you. [You can practically hear the wink in his voice here.]

And I'll be sure to do that. The hug and the thank you both.

Wonderful to meet you, as well. I'm sure you're thoroughly charmed by me; everyone is. [Somehow it sounds more honest than conceited. Go figure.] And good to know that you'll follow through.

[Jack has to laugh at her first words.] To be fair, I'm pretty charmed by everyone, but. You are sweet, especially asking after Ianto like that.

And you better believe I'll follow through. I give some great hugs. He can definitely vouch for that.

I am, aren't I? I don't even have to try. While naturally curious, I'm also naturally receptive to good people doing good things.

I will say one thing, though. I'll bet no one's ever accused you of being overly modest, yeah? [Definitely not with the way she's talking, at least. Jack cracks a grin.]

That's okay, me neither.

Why would I have any cause to be modest? When you're in charge of everything, you have to assert yourself.

Good God something useful! Incredibly useful; felt as though I've been spinning uselessly since I fell out of the grav couch. Thank you so much. Ah--and I hope this Ianto fellow gets to feeling better soon.

You and me both. Ianto's the one with all the answers here, I'm just holding down the fort for him. He'll be glad to know that someone found it useful, though. I think most of the time he's convinced people just glance over it and don't even give it the time of day.

Oh, good Lord! Then I have your word you'll tell him someone found it very useful and enlightening? Context really changes things. I hadn't the bloody foggiest idea about what's been happening since I arrived last week--until now, that is.
