[The young woman's face that appears on screen doesn't look nearly as exhausted as it probably should. Her voice, however, is as weary as she's pretty sure everyone is feeling.]

So I'm curious. Does anyone out there know the side effects of not getting any sleep? [She pauses to consider something.] Or maybe how long they'll take to start showing up? [Another pause.] I just think that might be some useful information for people in general to have and, well, like I said. I'm curious.

[For the record, Claire hasn't been sleeping pretty much at all. However her ability is working overtime to keep circles from appearing under her eyes as well as countering the other, less pleasant, side effects that come with not getting enough rest. There's still the random, occasional bleeding that she can't explain but that's neither here nor there, right?]

Well, you could not flaunt the good genes, but--actually, no, continue to flaunt the good genes. That gives me some... not hope, but something like hope. Something to live for.

[Claire's tired but she knows how to take a compliment when she hears one. Her tone loses a bit of its weariness and it's obvious she's smiling.]

Hope, huh? I'll have to keep that in mind. And idle chatter works just as well as answering pretty boring questions. [A beat.] I'm Claire, by the way.

Oh, good, because I'm about done with boring questions. It's only interesting questions for me from here on out.

[Exhausted, but still trying to be charming: priorities.]

Hullo, Claire, I'm Sirius Black, and I'm usually a bit better at this.

[voice]

[Claire hesitates for a second. Sirius Black. Right. She really should have expected this. Nathan did mention Spock and everything. And she can deal. Really. This is her dealing. She even manages to keep her voice as light as before.]

It's nice to meet you, Sirius, and I think I can forgive you just this once. Lack of sleep and everything.

I'm really not picky. [A pause.] Just nothing that involves thinking. I'm pretty sure my brain's going to plot a revolution if I try too much of that right now.

Oh, I hate thinking, thinking is the worst. I make it a point to think as little as possible as it is, we are going to get along quite well. So your brain is safe, and you're safe from your brain.

Didn't we just decide no boring questions? [She's clearly teasing.]

And I my favorite color is red. [Mostly because people who meet her usually assume it's pink so, red it is.] What about you?
