[Taylor looks slightly restless as well as the usual annoyed as the feed clicks on. This isn't an announcement she wanted to be making, but then, when were they ever? Better to get it over and done with. Which also means she doesn't bother with any real introduction before she just starts talking.]

Most of you know about the shooting we had last month. Guy was called Tate Langdon, zero-zero-three zero-ninety-four. He was held in the brig for a short period before taking advantage of a miscalculation in our security in order to escape. [She's definitely annoyed about that, showing through in her tone for a moment before she returns to the same clipped solder-speak she's been using.] Prior to this, he confessed to the murder of Hayden McClaine, zero-twelve zero-twenty.

We increased patrols in the time before the jump, but he didn't enter or leave a gravcouch and his comms are non-responsive. I'm taking that to mean the fucker's a puddle somewhere.

[But she's fully expecting people to argue with her about it. There's a pause, like she's considering ending it there, but decides to continue anyway.]

Newer waves, I'm Tyke, I'm head of security. It's been a week so I'll save you any welcome spiel. [Like she's great at that anyway.] Basics are we run patrols on the populated areas of the ship, and you can contact us if you have any problems. If you've got any armed forces or policing background or relevant skills, we always need more numbers. You can talk to me about recruitment.

Yo. What's your stance on non-violent vigilante justice?

[The face he gets for that is a mix between incredulous and suspicious.]

Unnecessary and stupid. We have the security team for a reason. People trying any kind of 'justice' on their own is a clusterfuck that could drag everyone down with it.

Okay. No, I get that. What iiiiif, hypothetically, someone who was gonna be potentially dangerous, just because they can't really control themselves, not because they're a bad person or whatever, and they needed to be temporarily locked up. Non...violently.

[ he's startled by the abrupt change in tone, not sure what to do with it. chews over the intel, which is basically useless unless he tells her the whole story anyway. ]

The thing is, there's this vampire. And I don't have absolute proof that he's dangerous, but I thought he might have been the murderer — for that body I found a while back. He got totally cleared on that front, but he kind of implied he'd maybe hurt someone else, I mean, when he didn't realize what body I meant, he didn't try and deny it at all? And his friends from back home said he was dangerous — even he said could be dangerous, if he ever started drinking blood again. So I've kind of Ocean's Elevened together a plan to lock him up and get him clean.

[ stiles stop making references to the canons of people actually on board the ship, it's rude. ]

No casualties other than the shooter?

Good riddance. Last thing we need on this ship is someone blasting more holes than the actual outside threats do.

[Alex spoke to the kid once, and it's too bad he was crazy, but he's not about to pity someone who'd shoot up his 'home' because one of his friends went home. Boo hoo, welcome to life here, we all lose people. Via death, often enough in Alex's case.]

Don't think he'll sprout back to life again somehow, do you?

[Because apparently the kid sprouted right back to life a while after everyone gunned him down. Or however he went down; Alex didn't care for specifics.]

[Her mouth twists slightly, but the complaint's more a general grumpiness than directed at him. She takes a breath, clearly considering it now even if she hadn't wanted to.]

He had an intact body, last time. [Just shot up, laying in the morgue.] If he can sprout back from a load of gravity-crushed mush, then he's either gonna be useless and a fucking horrorshow to look at, or I don't know what the fuck we can do about him.

[Except the airlock. Discreetly.]

[She might be stalling, slightly.]

[Taylor doesn't get either of those references, but she doesn't ask. She's too caught by how this turned from some weird kidnapping plot to slow and nasty murder.]

You can't starve a vampire, Stiles. You'll kill him. Or he'll go crazy and kill you first.

[ stiles holds his hands up like whoahoahoa he's not murdering anyone. ]

Or he can, and the other vamp from his world can. It's like a drug, it makes them volatile, they don't wanna quit, but they can, they totally can.

[She is not convinced of that, at all. What's the point of vampirism if blood isn't a necessary? But then Stiles is from a place where werewolves have the wolf all the time. There's no multiuniversal rules she can work with, just what's in front of her.]

So he's potentially dangerous, potentially hurt someone, and you want to cold turkey him. Against his will.

[ he nods. when she puts it like that, it sounds risky, but he doesn't exactly mind a little risk. ]

Look, I've been thinking about this for — a while. Months. The big issue isn't what you'd thing — he'll be okay with it, I'm pretty sure? He used to stay clean on his own. The problem is the jumps, but I think I've got that handled.

You're pretty sure. You're going to be forcing him through withdrawal, and you're pretty sure he's going to be okay with it.

[That isn't even the big issue in her mind. She still can't quite get her head around how Stiles is going to pull any of it off.]

Has he got any vampire shit? Increased strength, speed, injury resistance, the mindfuck eyes thing?

Yeah, he's pretty ripped. I don't think he can Dracula people into doing what he wants, though. And I've got Derek.

[ not sarcasm, it's just pure "holy shit I can't believe he really was a killer". after her time in his world in the fog, she hadn't been sure. it could have been just a shadow, a nightmare of his acting out against her since she was in his world, but- no. it was Tate. Tate fucking killed her. but she's not about to tell Tyke that, not when it'll probably just result in a shit storm of "why didn't you tell anyone". too confusing. ]

Guess it's good he's gone, then.
