You know, minus the pirates - this place isn't that different from home. It even has met the the 'fearing for your life' quota.

Except, you know, I don't have work to do like I did back there. Making this place seems almost like a weird space vacation straight out of just about every sci-fi I've seen.

Never thought that I'd actually miss some of the people from home.

Anyway - I guess I can be helpful in some manner of speaking. What do people with almost no skills actually do around here?

I'm tempted to just go get drinks again.

And there you have your skill. Drinking is no mere game, good sir. You might spy amateurs with their drop of wine, settling for tipsy and fearing outright intoxication. What would the world be without drunks? I don't want to think of it.

I'm thinking more useful skills. Drinking is not a useful skill.

How is that? Do you find your use in your ability to help others, or to help yourself? Alcohol is more suited for the latter, and why you should not worry about the former option.

There is your problem. It's not with drinking, only you are focusing too much on helping others. Why should you help them? These people are mostly strangers to you, aren't they?

And? Why shouldn't I think that being helpful or useful is the best option? Strangers are just as stuck here as you or I.

I believe them enough. There's not that many options.

Absinthe is a great idea. I do wonder if the bar actually has it.

It could not rightfully be called a bar without the drink. They have an incredible stock, really, but be careful. Too much of one thing will leave you weary, and who knows what pickpockets wander about.
