[This is the first time she's made an attempt to speak to the public at large, and she's a little nervous about it. But good things are happening, exciting things, and she really wants to show off how nice the ship has been to her this jump. The camera's a blur as she swivels it around toward a table she's set up someplace in the gardens, and sitting upon the table are jars of plants, varying in size and shape. There's even a lone flower, her current pride and joy.]

Barberry, flaxseed, ginseng, and even more than that!

[She laughs, downright giddy at being able to have found so many useful things. She turns her device back to her, so people can see who's speaking.]

They're perfect, really perfect. Don't you think? They'll help make sure I'm able to open my clinic faster now.

[She calms down a great deal at this point, and gives out a contented sigh as she leans down to toy with and sniff at peppermint. She gently curls a green leaf around her finger, and watches it pop back up.]

My sister gave me a chance to live, a chance to do something. I was wasting that chance here, I think. I spent too much time being afraid. But now I can do something to help people. If...that's allowed? I know there's already the doctors that work in the medbay, and I don't want to get in the way.

[She gulps, a bit nervous about feeling like she's overstepping her boundaries.]

But if anyone that's a doctor or knows something about healing would like to help, I need someone to look over my notes.

They arrived in your locker during this past one, didn't they?

[Charles! Prim is glad to see you. She smiles, but shakes her head.]

No, not all of them. Some of them I found on my own. But it's like they were hiding and waiting for me specifically.

I was under the illusion that all the plants grown here were alien in origin, though I've seen some so far which resemble the herbs I know. Yours are quite beautiful.

How old are you?

They normally are alien in origin. That's what makes these ones special. [She's happy that he agrees hers are beautiful though, and smiles in appreciation.]

I'm thirteen. [She looks younger than that, she knows.] But I've been taught how to heal and fix people since I was little. My mother was a healer in the district I grew up in.

I wouldn't dream of judging your experience based on your age. Far from it. I find it charming.

I know a little about homeopathic medicine, perhaps I might help you search for further specimens? Would you care for the company?

[ Offers a smile, and a chuckle. ]

Perhaps they were hiding away and waiting for you. I think plants can do that. It is nice to see you have them, though. It's a good step.

[ caroline's smiling. it feels a little weird, smiling in this place out of genuine amusement, but she feels something she can't quite place as she watches and listens to prim gush about her project. it's pride. she's never felt that before, not when she kicked mason's ass or told klaus to go shove it or kicked damon's for being a douche. here is a girl who has achieved so much in such a short space of time. and she's asking for permission. ]

[ she can't help but laugh, tilting her head: ] How old are you again?

[Bran is pleased to see Prim so happy--and pleased that she has found such success with her plants and her work. And he does not want to waste her time, but-- he is curious.]

[She hasn't ever heard of it put as charming before, so that gets her to take pause. But slowly, she nods.]

I'd like that very much, thank you. I've been trying to draw and classify the plants I don't recognize, and I'd really like to hear what you think so I can add it to my notes.

I'm Primrose, by the way. Primrose Everdeen.

Maybe in stories, but not usually in real life. [She laughs, though.] This place feels like it's all just a story sometimes, so maybe that's why it's possible. Do you think that you could meet up with me sometime soon, though? I want to show you my finished notes.

[Prim tilts her head as she watches Caroline laugh, and wonders if she's making fun of her. But no, Caroline is nice, she trusts her. So she smiles in return.]

Thirteen, but it's okay if you want to think something different.

[And Bran gets the largest smile of all, because she wants to share everything with him. These plants, her clinic, all the things she knows.]

You couldn't ever waste my time, not ever. Anything you ever want to know, all you have to do is ask. [Which is what he just did, so she holds up a finger and gets started.]

Barberry. It can reduce fever, treat stomach ailments, and treats infection. Flaxseed is used to ease gastrointestinal issues, heart ailments, to treat burns and skin irritations, and I think to help when people have a deep cough that's settled in their lungs. Ginseng... [She pauses, closing her eyes and trying to remember everything she grew up being taught by her mother.]

Oh! Some of the miners in District 12 would get a remedy from my mother made of ginseng, that increased their energy and attention so they could work longer. There's other things it can do, too, but I have to sit and remember all of them.

A worthy cause. On seeing the garden myself, I hoped to find a reference to the plants. Cataloging them seems like a suitable use of time.

Primrose for the first flowers to open in the spring. Fitting, I think. [ He could carry on there and be incredibly disconcerting, but instead he smiles, and takes off his hat. ] My name is Doctor Fell. You may call me Dotore if you wish.

It's been one of my main focuses. There's not a lot here for someone like me to do, if I want to stay safe.

[So the gardens it is. She bobs her head as he introduces himself, taking a small delight in the fact he knows where her name comes from.]

Which do you prefer to me to call you, though? I don't mind using whichever one you want.

Even more.

[You could at least say hello first, Nederland. But, nope, he's too busy scowling at the background behind her, trying to figure out just where in the Gardens she is. Or rather - how far she is from his location in the rows of hydroponics on the first level.]

Plants, I mean... [Muttered, distracted as he narrows his eyes at the plants she's laid out, trying to count, see if he can recognize anything when they're so small on the screen. And then he finally snaps back to attention.] They from earth, or not.

[ caroline's not quite sure if she's offended prim. she's someone new, who she hasn't quite gotten to know properly just yet; she can read people from home like books, but others from different worlds? she wants to ensure prim knows that that isn't a bad thing, her age, or anything she's doing. ] You don't act like it. [ and that could possibly make it worse. she does keep smiling. ] Not that that's a bad thing or anything, but ...

Your sister would be proud of you for doing this.

Your own clinic...?

[Murphy didn't even know you could do that, but he thinks about it for a moment before he can even think of an argument. He knows there are people who are remiss about entering the medbay -- he lives with one of those people.] That's... a good idea. A great idea.

Where d'you plan on settin' it up at? [He can tell that's the Garden right now, but given the sheer size of the place it's impossible for even Murphy, who actually works there almost every day, to determine where she's getting all those plants at.]

[The mention of Katniss makes her smile grow, and her cheeks flush red.]

Do you really think so? I miss her so much sometimes. It helps to think she'd be proud.

[But deep down she knows Caroline is right, and that Katniss would be proud of this.]

[The scowling gets her to clam up a little, she's nervous she's offended him somehow. So when he questions her, she hesitates, but eventually gets out an answer.]

They're from Panem. It's where I'm from.

You really think so?

[She grins, ducking her head to try and hide it. She doesn't want to look too prideful about all of this.]

My friend Bran is going to help me set it up someplace in the gardens. Somewhere that's easy to find, no matter what's going on.

[That sounds vaguely familiar, and he bites the inside of his cheek trying to think of why before figuring he's just overheard the name. Plants are kind of more important to him.]

Same names as plants from Earth, though. [More lip-biting.] The one you're callin' flax. Lemme see that one.

[To maybe tone down the bossy, grumpy thing and stop freaking her out sadly doesn't even occur to him.]

I never knew you were a healer, Prim. I can't imagine anyone would turn you away.

[ and lbr, this looks more like westerosi medicine than anything floating around medbay so. ]

[Despite having his fatherly tones when he talks to her (can't help it, she's so young), Murphy doesn't sound condescending about the idea at all.]

Yeah, I really do. I think someplace that doesn't feel like a hospital might make it... easier for people who don't like those places very much.

I'm not a doctor, and... uh, well, my knowledge doesn't really go beyond basic first aid. [Because of Silent Hill reasons.] But if there's anything you think I could do, I'd like to help. A few of us work in the gardens, and I could probably set a place up for you.

[ He's in the oxygen gardens, and did you call for a healer, Prim?

Aragorn's smile is soft, gentle. ]

I do not think a wish to aid others will ever be disallowed. [ Quietly. ] I have not seen such plants before, but in my own world, plants are well-famed for their abilities to heal.

[ A pause. ]

Your skills will be welcome here, especially for those unused to the methods used in the medbay.

[Robb gets a huge smile, something toothy and childish and not at all proper and adult but she doesn't care. She's just glad he has nice words to say about her chosen profession.]

I wanted to help when you were hurt. I didn't have any of these things back then, though.

[A pause, and she ducks her head a bit.]

Next time something happens, though, I'll be ready.
