[ Cibo had been relatively absent from communications since the jump. And now her voice calmly presents itself onto the network like no big thang. ]

I'm not used to losing someone and feeling so...

[ Searching for Scout became her main focus before she couldn't safely go much further into the ship. If Scout were even still on the ship; She's definitely been around long enough to realize that sometimes passengers disappear during the jumps. She's not ready to think about it that way just yet.

Actually, she'd rather just not think about it at all. ]

Does anyone know of anything that might help take the mind off of it for a while? I'm up for anything at this point.

Having a prolonged rousing chinwag with an individual could take your mind off of any troubling thoughts.
Or if you like movies the recreation room has a slew of them but theyre all from different planets.

I happen to have some classic earth movies however.
Are you going to be quite alright?

Have you tried drinking? That's what everyone else resorts to.

Cibo, what has happened? Did you lose your boyfriend?

If you need to talk about it, I am always here.
godofthemachine: (* Hey kid I'm a computer)

[Oh this is splendid news for AM because now he can finally have a much more powerful hold on her. It's a good thing this is through text because he has a terrible smile on his face.]

I am terribly sorry to hear that.

Perhaps we could go to the club. That will take your mind away from it.

Dancing. Music. Lights. Drinking.
godofthemachine: (* So many circuits)

hghsadfhh now I want them to go to the club so bad

[personal profile] godofthemachine 2013-05-28 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I have not truly danced myself either.

But I do know that humans look to it as a fun activity. It can easily take your mind away from problems.
godofthemachine: (* Hey kid I'm a computer)

eheheheheheh yes my evil plan is working i mean

[personal profile] godofthemachine 2013-05-28 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I doubt the dancing at these clubs is that intricate. Just move your body with the music.

[See, this is stuff he definitely gets. It's kinda been a problem for him, too, just... not here. On board. Yet, anyway.]

Which one do you feel like — games, food, or messing with electrical crap?

Because I'm game for any of those things.

If you're wanting to chill somewhere with company, I mean.

Don't worry about it; not very long ago, I didn't even know how to properly play chess. Learning is another way to focus your attention elsewhere, right? Not to mention, there are so many different games out there! You could learn how to kick ass in all of them in the meanwhile.

Sure thing. Whenever you got the time, I'm ready. We'll be game pros by the end of our space journey.

[He stops before he can finish that question, as he's just now read her response to AM.

[Well then.]

...

Sorry.

D'you, er... need anything?

Oh, uh, I... Yeah, appreciate that. [The after-shower part, not the...

[Sigh.

[Anyway:]
Drinkin' doesn't necessarily help, but I'm not gonna say no to that. So sure, come on over whenever you feel like it. Just rearranged some things in my room recently.

[personal profile] fuckinghysterical 2013-05-21 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Aw, Cibo. Even if LB didn't have many strong bonds with people here, there was always a part of her terrified of losing the couple she was close to. But it's okay, because there's only one solution to this:]

Fighting. Eeheeheehee -- whenever I'm feeling shitty, fighting is the only thing that makes me feel even a little bit better.

If you're more focused on keeping yourself alive, then you can't spare the time to think about other things!

Well, fights with other people are usually the best, but -- eheheh -- we can't really do that here, can we?

But what about those rats in the genetics lab? Maybe if you're lucky, you can find one of those manticores around? Don't have to be careful around those things.

Have you tried drinkin', luv? Works for me.

logicunlocked: (Let's think this through)

Sure, it's natural to be upset. Don't think it's wrong or bad to feel that way.

There's a fish in the gardens? I didn't know that.

[Oh. This sort of thing is terrible.

If it's not too forward...]

A nice book and a moment to relax with it in the gardens may help.

I-- am sorry for your loss, mademoiselle.
vivelavenir: (&Genuinely Concerned ✜)

[personal profile] vivelavenir 2013-05-28 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
There are fish in the gardens also? That's very curious. Perhaps seeing your sea friend will be of a great comfort. Some things remain constant, no?

[It alarms him that it might happen to 'everyone' at some point. He'd not like to imagine that.]

Still, those left behind are brave, no? I am still sorry, that you are forced into such a bravery.
whynotzoidberg: (Why not Zoidberg?)

[personal profile] whynotzoidberg 2013-05-28 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh look it's Zoidberg. He looks fairly nonchalant as he speaks, as if EVERYONE should use this cure for sadness.]

Well when I'm sad I find that the best cure is eating buckets of mackerel.

That or going for a nice scuttle.

[Congratulations Cibo - the answer to your problems.]
