Unable to date properly. For all appearances, there are no calendars to speak of on this ship. Directly contacting a large network is not favorable in terms of communication, but given the situation, it's necessary.

I don't need information that has already been communicated through other anonymous posts to network. The information there is outlandish but overall believable, though I was led to believe space exploration included more white and chrome accents.

Some additional questions need to be answered, however. Not sure how to word them, but will make best effort in this situation.

1.) Some information was under construction on the information post. Who knows that information and who will explain why items in the introduction are struck out?
2.) A roster of previously incarcerated crew members would be helpful. Both here and in original homes.

Will save other questions until they become necessary to ask.

It does not. The official policy of the security department is that we do not pursue crimes committed at home; why would we have any official records?

To ensure that those who committed crimes at home would not repeat their actions here. Could be serial murderers aboard relying on your leniency to allow them a chance to start again. Has happened before.

And on what grounds would you condemn them?

Shouldn't have to ask that question.

The testimony of other passengers, then, I assume? So let us entertain a hypothetical situation. I claim to be from the same world as yourself; I claim you are a murderer. Shall we write down your name as a killer's name thereafter?

Should not have to rely on hearsay, but given the circumstances, that would be one way of doing it.

Would make sense to have those with records identify themselves to security. Civilians with reports of previous criminal records would tell security. Security would then follow up accusations to find proof. Even without all possible investigative measures, criminals give themselves away.

One way of doing it, at least.

Don't be foolish. There is no proof without evidence. A confession is worthless without corroboration.

A confession is all you need.

Then why, pray tell, do courts not convict on confession alone?

Courts are forced to waste money and time by going through elaborate sideshow acts accusing everyone but the criminal in order to adhere to generally meaningless, pointless laws that spineless politicians have put in place as a smokescreen to hide their own lawlessness.

Not very good at serious things, either. The law is there to protect; it is there to shield; it is there to ensure justice is not miscarried. It is not a smokescreen.

Should have clarified. Not all laws are futile attempts at garnering the taxpayer's trust.

I suppose that is possible, yes. There are, at times, unjust regimes where runaway madmen twist the law to their purposes. But those are few and far between.

Not always runaway madmen. Sometimes, they know exactly what they're doing.

Or at least, don't show their true colors until it's too late.

If they are attempting to pollute the sanctity of the law by formulating laws for their own benefit, rather than the benefit of the people, then they are mad by definition.

Due to situation, some crimes can be overlooked. Auto theft, minor things. Should know if there are serial murderers on ship, though. Seems only rational.
