[Bail does his best not to show just how confused he is right now. Even surrounded by strangers, he defaults to habits acquired when those around him looked to him for guidance. But he has questions. It's only natural.]

Is there a library to be found somewhere on this vast vessel? I wish to learn of the space we are travelling through. More importantly, of the people on the worlds we might come to.

[A pause while he further considers the situation]

Failing that, would anyone here be able to explain the local political and cultural climate?

I've been here just long enough to say if you go exploring, it's probably best you take someone to watch your back. Just in case.

[She nodded once, her expression at ease but still fairly serious. Shepard wasn't going to go so far as to say 'this place is creepy as hell' but she was thinking it.]

So far, I haven't ventured anywhere near a window, but I can honestly say this is one of the biggest ships I've been on.

[The Collector ship still came in number one on that score.]

I'm beginning to get the impression that only a select few are familiar with the same worlds I am.

I've seen a few people from my own galaxy, but aside from them, I have no idea who anyone else is. From what I have been able to piece together and have been told, we are appropriated from many different galaxies each time a jump occurs. Looks like it's a thirty day cycle, which means I've been here for approximately one month.

These jumps must be very different from the hyperspace I am accustomed to.

No tubes or goo in my galaxy. Well, not as far as jumping in concerned.

[She's thinking about Grunt and his test tube--very different uses of 'good'. And there are other tubes and other types of goo she's definitely not thinking about.]

We use mass effect relays and while there is a kind of jump, it's nothing like this.

It takes time to travel through hyperspace. But we could easily move around the ship during it.

[He did it with a newborn once. He doesn't know much about those grav couches, but he has a feeling that would not have been a good idea.]

Only briefly. I'm still trying to get my bearings.
