[This is uncomfortable -- painful and unwanted, and every time Marius sees his comrades in arms, his chest twists in a particularly painful way. They are dead, he is alive, and nothing Marius can do will change that. Still, he has tried to be better about being secluded and reclusive, and he knows his brothers are feeling much the same way.
