[From the video, you can see Albert is seated somewhere in the oxygen gardens, on a wide-open patch of grass. He looks somewhat contemplative.]

I have a-- a somewhat personal question to ask of you all, so don't feel compelled to answer if you don't wish to. [He seems to hesitate, and then he plunges ahead quickly, as if he must ask it before he loses courage.]

How many of you here believed yourselves to have passed away before you woke up in this place?

And-- for those of you who don't want to talk about something quite so morbid, maybe you could tell me what year, or what country, or planet you come from. I'd... really like to hear about other people's homes. As for me-- I'm from Paris, France, the year 5053.

I've also got some tea and plenty of cups to go around here in the garden, if you'd prefer to speak in person. I'd welcome the company, and the chance to meet all of you.

Now she's not anymore. It's all a little bit confusing, I'm not really sure I understand how it works.

A few weeks ago the elevators got screwed up and started droppin' people into this big mess of hallways. Some people got stuck there for days. When we finally got to the end, there was some lab full of monsters--weird rats and those crazy beast things, too.

That's what I thought, but apparently there aren't any stairs.

Lucky for you, it looks like the elevators are all workin' again. For now.

I don't right know. I think some things stay the same. People are always people, even if you put them in a strange situation.

[ Albert raises one eyebrow, finally. ]

Oh. That is good to hear. [truly. even if it isn't technically his world, or perhaps.. might not even be the future of his world, it's comforting to know that the earth is still well and whole. (though by whose definition of such, he doesn't know.)] No indeed, little is there that may compare with one's homeland.

I would guess this sort of situation is not entirely something you are familiar with, then? [mildling jesting, but thoughtful also.] Being trapped on a flying ship with strangers and bloodthirsty creatures?

People who died before coming here aren't ghosts here and weren't ghosts back home. It sounds like your friend's in a different situation than you're asking about. You should be asking if anyone else was a ghost before and if they still are here.

It definitely can be. It's not the best vacation ever but for those who've died back home, it's all there is.

Yeah. Not much we can do about the elevators, but try to be careful. And stay away from that lab, too, those rats were nasty.
