Hello, everyone who has made it through the most recent jump. I hope everyone's... well, I hope you're all okay.

For those of you who don't know, my name is Azari, and I am an Avenger. We're a team of people on the ship who are dedicated to helping protect the rest of you in whatever way we can - many of us are skilled in combat or have abilities most people do not. We hope to be people that you can rely on in times of danger and crisis.

I don't know how many of you are aware, but James Rogers, the former leader of the Avengers on this ship, is no longer here. Don't worry, the rest of us are still here and plan to continue helping in any way we can. If you have any questions or concerns, you can bring them to me or to Francis Barton. Uh, so, I don't really know what we're doing leadership-wise without James here. We should probably discuss that.

I know Francis has joined the security team, and I'm in training with the flight team. If you guys can help out any crew department in your spare time, that's probably a good way to get them to respect us as at least being willing to work and help when we're needed.

[ sigh ] I wish James were still here. But he's not, so we just gotta keep moving. Who all is still around? Have we lost anyone else?

Yes ma'am, I do. We're from the same world. Our parents worked together a long time ago.

Oh, I see. I didn't realise that about your parents. Always thought you had all met up purely by chance.

We met Francis kind of by accident, but our parents had known each other. [ he shrugs a bit ] It was good luck, too, we probably wouldn't've been able to save Tony or defeat Ultron without his help.

[ Azari: giving credit where it's due. ]

Tony Stark, right? [There were two on board already. It's possible that there were more.]

Who or what is Ultron? I'm not familiar with the name.

Yeah. He's basically our dad, mine and James's. He saved us and raised us after Ultron killed our parents.

Ultron was a... a self-repairing robotic AI that decided humanity was illogical and basically took over the world and tried to kill everyone. [ GRR ULTRON. The only person/thing Azari hates more is Kang... ]

Crazy robotic AI. Not exactly a new concept. [Then Bela catches herself.] Sorry, that was a little insensitive. I can only imagine how awful it was.

Ultron is gone though, right? Like permanently gone?

It's okay. [ shrug ] It was pretty cliched back before Ultron, as far as I can tell. It wasn't as bad for us as for most people. Tony got us away to safety, and we didn't really have any problems until a couple years ago.

[ he nods ] The Hulk ripped him in half, and then Torunn threw each piece into space in a different direction. No way he recovers from that, not in the next trillion years or so anyway. If you get time travel and parallel timelines involved, he isn't always, but most of the time that's not a problem. It's only a problem if you've got a time traveler causing trouble, and we only knew of one. He's dead. [ there's a bit of flatness in that last comment. Oh yes, Kang is dead. Azari and Torunn made sure of it. ]

Well, that's reassuring to know. Not what you had to go through in order to get the job done but at least this Ultron won't be bothering any of you anymore.

[Unless he came on board here, before they managed to kill them. Bela knew of people on the ship who had died back home only to come on board alive and unharmed.]

Is that the only thing that you've faced or has there been other things?

I am still here.
I can spend more time working in the gardens if that would help.

If you're already helping, you're probably doing good.
But if you think you could do more without pushing yourself too hard, you definitely can.

I think I'm gonna go look for him, too. If other people got lost in the ship and are showing back up, maybe he just got turned around somewhere, too.

[ Azari doesn't even bother trying to smile, and just nods ]

Yeah, you're the best choice for it, in my opinion.

Don't go alone. I want to go looking for him, too, but we can't all run off and risk us all getting lost. I'm mostly worried that... well, he wasn't in the grav couches, you know? If he was lost when we jumped...

[ Azari's not finishing that sentence ]

I'd like to come with you, when you go looking.

Before the jump, someone suggested a party go into the ship, look for people. I figured I'd go with them, you know? Since I'm SEC anyway.

[he is purposely not touching even the thought that James was mushed up by the jump]

Yeah. ...I maybe shouldn't go. Tony's bound to get worried if we're all missing or off in the bowels of the ship and everything. Especially after the issues with the elevators last jump. And somebody should probably keep an eye on the rest of the Avengers.

[ HE WANTS TO GO but ugh responsibility but aaaaaugh James you stupidface why'd you go and disappear again? ]

You're the leader, what do you think?

[he thinks Tony can keep his nose out of it, but he knows that isn't an option for Azari, so he just shrugs and nods]

Sounds like a good idea. You've definitely got leadership material yourself. Better to have one of us here running things, and I just - I'm better off in the field. [and taking personal responsibility when his teammates disappear, even when it can't possibly be his fault]

Does it really matter what department we pick? Cause I'm kinda having trouble just choosing one.

Not really. It's more about making sure people know we're willing to help than anything specific, at least right now. Francis is in SEC, I'm training with Carolyn [ YES, HE TOTALLY JUST CALLED HER BY HER FIRST NAME now to do that to her face ] to work on and fly the shuttles, Nill works in the gardens. Just help out and don't cause trouble is all.

Figure it might be easier if we split up, keep tabs on everything going on then, right? Engineering sounds right up my alley I think.

[Just Anthony this time, Tony is having fun in the bar today.]

Well, I don't... uh... I mean, you can probably help out in the science department if they don't mind you being around. If you can help out somewhere, then totally. Don't get Tony in trouble or anything, though. [ under his breath ] He does that plenty on his own...
