[A well-groomed and well-dressed woman in her mid-thirties appears on the feed, speaking in very business-like clipped tones and for those from Earth, she is clearly English.]

My name is Adelle DeWitt.

I have been aboard this ship for a few weeks now and I am interested in learning more about it, the mission and how so many came to be here via this jump system.

If any one has any pertinent information they care to share, I would be glad to hear it. I am sure many others have previously inquired as to such things and if there are any dossiers around I could peruse, all the better.

There aren't really any official dossiers, just whatever information that the people here have collected together.

How long have you been aboard this vessel?

It was a year just a few days ago. Seems to have flown in fast.

A whole year? I take it then that this is likely to be a long voyage.

More than likely, yes. There seems to be no final destination in sight.

I take it there has been no documentation on the subject either, then?

If there is, it's very well hidden or possibly encoded. I don't have the skills to crack it.

Perhaps Ms. de Witt could use some of her namesake in order to cast her eyes over the network and find the dossiers herself

It would seem by your response that you have little in the way of it yourself.

I have seen the documentation and was hoping this ragtag group had managed a little more.

A nice attempt at covering yourself but I hardly believe you. What isn't on the dossiers you've apparently already read isn't known, or even knowable

Believe me or not all you wish, I care not of opinion, I wanted hard fact. There is little enough of it here in the dossiers available already.

I'm still relatively new to the whole...space thing so. Any information I give probably wouldn't be entirely accurate so I'll...refrain. From that. Information giving. There should be files and things floating around, though.

I do recall you, Miss Halverson. I was following your career with interest, after all.

How long have you been here?

Oh good. It's nice to...sort of know someone from my world. The world I was previously from. I mean, I knew of Dr. Brink before but I never met him in person until now.

But ah, I've been here for one jump, now. Which is about a month, I think.

...you had not met him in person? Then this must be one of those time phenomena I have heard of.

Then we must have arrived in the same 'jump'.

Yes, he...mentioned that. Timelines being out of sync. I know that I'm supposed to meet him in my future but that's...largely irrelevant now since we're all stuck here.

What is the last thing you remember before arriving here?

Well, I was working on my neural engineering dissertation while watching a movie with my friend. I was in Tucson. That was about it.

My life is terribly uneventful, I'm afraid.

Was your friend your roommate? [Adelle pretends to take a moment to recall the name, as if she was remembering a fact she had come across in her following of Bennett's career.] Caroline something?

Yes, ah. Her name is Caroline.

I thought I recalled it. Of course, all the study is for a brilliant cause - you will have a very fulfilling career at Rossum.

Right. Will. If I ever get off this ship. Always good to know I have a career waiting for me if I don't get slaughtered by monsters here.

[He sends her this as an attachment before speaking.]

That's pretty much the be-all and end-all of public knowledge stuff on the ship.

I was hoping for more, but it seems this will have to do for now.

Yeah, welcome to the TQ. We don't know much of anything about anything.

So it would seem. Is there a task force looking into more information or is everyone just floating along aimlessly?

You're looking at it. [Indicating the file.] The people who control that dossier keep track of all the relevant information that comes though, but the only way to get more information is to go deeper into the ship and when people do that... Bad things happen.

Such as?

Tony's missing an eye, one other guy's missing an arm. And I'm pretty sure Neal's missing half his brain, but don't quote me on that. Pretty sure he'd protest if I cornered him about invasive brain scans, so I haven't checked.

Neal one of your closest friends then, I take it?

Neal is Neal. I'm sure you'd love him.
