After a month here, watching you all, I have to say I'm surprised. A bunch of strangers from different worlds, and I mean strange— some of you, more than others— and yet you all manage to get along relatively well. I can hardly say the same for some of the people I know who share the same world.
[ that is, relative to the clusterfuck that is vampire society. ]
So what's the secret? Survival, practicality, boredom— because as neat as being on a spaceship is, we're still confined. A month has passed, the novelty's wearing away, and now it getting kind of dull.
Which brings me to my next question: What do you guys do for fun around here?

Not used to staying in one place for long.

Doing nothing is boring. Cooperative survival keeps you active. So we work, or at least the ones of us with any sense do.

[ Man, he can barely contain that smile. ]
Haven't found anything that suits me yet.

[A month was nothing given the experience she's had.]
I go to the holodeck rooms, the swimming pool, occasionally the media libraries but it does get boring after a while.
I have the occasional drink. [Depending on her mood or whatever crisis.] Socialise if possible.

[ He offers her an amused smile. ]
So what's your drink of choice?
video;
Well, since there's a lack of wine or champagne I've settled for scotch. I'll take what I can get.

[The words are blunt, but not overly harsh. Teenage kids complaining about boredom is one thing, but grown adults? Blake's not impressed, but he's working to keep his tone mild.]

That's assuming I want to contribute.
