If you see a little dark-haired kid in a suit in places he's not supposed to be, let me know. He answers to "Anthony".

[Satisfied now, Clint slings a quiver of arrows and a sleek black bow over his shoulder before shutting off the transmission.]

Did anyone else have an issue with those masks? I haven't felt right since those things showed up.

I've seen my fair share of aliens, but not really this kind of thing. I'm just used to generic tough stuff.

Tyke does what she can, but it's a big ship with a lot of people and things that no one on SEC is used to dealing with.

Even a lot of other spacefarers around here are still used to Earth, to some form of civilization. They don't have the mercs or the slavers or the cults behind every moonrock that we have where I'm from.

I think Tyke thinks I'm a loose cannon. Just as well; I don't take orders that well unless they're from a much more... authoritative source.

...Sounds like home. [Somehow, this amuses him.] Only I've got my superhumans and my alien invasions and world-eaters.

[ Carolyn just shrugs. She's not going to get into it discussing Tyke and SEC; she's learned her lesson from complaining about Kirk. ]

Not quite as many of those where I'm from. Invasions, sure. Wars. Human subspecies, alien creatures instead of intelligent alien races.

[Clint will probably never learn his lesson, but that's just because he complains at conveniently good times and places.]
