[ Once again, Howard hasn't been answering his calls, so once again Tosh is determined to hunt him down. He isn't in his room or in Engineering, however, nor in the Science labs. But his signature shows up as a labeled blinking light on her datapadd, one of the only three she's entered so far. It's in an area of the ship she's not expecting, but she's determined. Armed with her gun and a flashlight (just in case), she heads out to find him.

When the blip stops moving, and she starts getting close, she turns on her comm to make a transmission. The video is shaky because she's moving, but shows her face as she holds the comm out in front of her as she walks. ]

It's probably nothing to be concerned over, but does anyone know why Howard Stark might be out in this area of the ship? Has anyone spoken to him today? He hasn't been answering messages and it's got me a li-

[ The video shows her stopping dead in her tracks, a look of horror on her face as she shrieks and drops the comm device. As it hits the floor, a red, wet splatter covers the screen, and then the transmission cuts off. ]

ETA: Post is now open for Security to tag as action if you like. The only thing to be found is a lot of blood, Tosh is taking the arc reactor and Howard's comm (for now). ]

[Ianto is in the middle of answering the transmission when everything goes wrong on Tosh's end. He lunges forward in the confines of the kitchen, as if he can somehow make the leap to her over distance.]

Tosh--?!

[There was red, red everywhere before the transmission cut, and Tosh had screamed--]

Oh god, Tosh, answer me!

[ It takes a couple minutes for Tosh to respond, and when she does her voice is shaky. ]

Ianto, it's Howard. Oh my god.

[Ianto stops mid-stride, having started immediately down the hallway when Tosh hadn't responded straightaway. He's caught somewhere between overwhelming relief and the beginnings of dread.]

Shit... Tosh, is he...?

[ Everything seems just fine and then...then there's horror, and blood, and it was all too good to be true, wasn't it? ]

Security. [ Expecting they're listening. ] I'll forward the coordinates. Go.

[ A sharp pause, worry in his voice. It looks to him, you see, like she's been attacked. ]

Tosh, can you hear me? You're going to be alright.

No, no don't. No idea if what did this is still around. Don't, Nathan, please. Don't send anyone, I'm all right.

[ WELL FUCK THIS CAN'T BE GOOD ]

What's going on? [Blake sounds tired, and a little short-tempered, but otherwise it's his usual concern.]

Where are you, we need to get a security team there immediately.

Except unfortunately the coordinates he does send are about seven decks out. You can't help that, not with the state their technology is in. Sorry Blake.

This wasn't his version of his father, but there's no way he's unaffected. It's with shaking hands that he reaches for the communicator, but when he speaks his voice is calm in direct contrast to the way he's curled up in a ball and hugging his knees to his chest.]

[Jim only glances at this before he taps in a message. he doesn't respond, because he can see they have it handled, and that security has already been alerted.]

[Jack's making his rounds, so his normal alerts that he has set for when Ianto or Tosh make transmissions are muted. Therefore it's a minute or two after Tosh's first transmission before Jack gets the second alert, one that's marked higher importance than the first so it bleeps his communicator even though he's got the thing silenced. A message from Ianto - TOSH. NOW. - and a location. That and the first alert is enough to get him moving even before he's tuning in to the first transmission]

Tosh, Ianto sent me your location. I'm on my way. Tell me what happened.

[His voice is low, steady, even though his head is going a mile a minute.]

[ When he reaches her location, he'll be faced with something that looks very familiar -- Toshiko, covered in blood, only this time it isn't hers. She's kneeling on the floor, her own comm sitting on the floor transmitting audio, Howard's in her hand. ]

[ Steve doesn't want to add two and two together, he really doesn't, because Howard is a good friend, and he doesn't have many of those, not that he's been able to hold onto over the years. So he's really, really trying to remain calm and not jump to conclusions. ]

Toshiko, what is it, what's happening down there? [ He looks as worried as he sounds on the open feed, and it's as much for her as it is in needing to know where Howard is and if she's found him - in what state, he's trying to brace himself. ] Everything okay?

[ She's less in shock than when she first arrived on the scene, but sitting there alone with what are probably Howard's remains is making it hard to keep things together. ]
