the first ones appear in pesterlogs in act 3, but you don't SEE them until act 5
As we are nocturnal? Yes. This could be largely in part due to being hatched in the subterranean levels of our planet.
Stupid mess? I am not sure how stupid it really is. We do not know why this is happening, actually.
