No sooner do I finish one interstellar voyage than I find myself the unwitting participant of a second one.
I hope, for all our sakes, that its ending is not quite as explosive as my first.
I have my misgivings about this ship, but sudden and catastrophic destruction is not one of them.
That would be too easy.

To the part-time residents of the two universes I've intimately familiarized myself with, hello again.
To everyone else, greetings. My name is Rose Lalonde.
I look forward to the new acquaintanceships, brotherhoods, and nemeses of the coming days here. I get the feeling that we're going to need them.
I have no intention of blindly submitting to the whims of whomever is in charge here. I shall proudly wear citrus as my hue of choice when it suits me. Noir doesn't feel especially appropriate given recent events.

I must admit, it seems that while my perception has largely grown recently, it is blind to blue-texted friends handing out prankster magazines asking suspicious questions.

dave said you weren't, but he said jade was here and another jade.
and jack, but i haven't seen him...
but two jades are pretty cool i guess!
now dave is really serving all the ladies.

Of course you are, John.
I've seen evidence of their presences, but we're joined by only one Jade now. One of each of us, plus an extra Dave. Both of their lady-serving techniques are just as heartfelt yet misguided as ever, though.
I'm still looking for Jack.
There are several trolls here, too. There's at least one we didn't meet during the game.

he will need to make amendments to his prophetical diagram.

I assume that you refer to the diagram pairing you and me, along with Jade and Dave, for the sole possible means of repopulation.
He's not here, as far as I can tell, but the diagram is already rendered moot. We find ourselves in what may yet be an equally apocalyptic place, but in greater company than merely the four of us. Options open up. The whims of our hearts may flit idly from one subject to the next, if they so desire.
Or they may find rest in the unhelpfully nonexistent libraries of this place.

it would have been cool to marry you maybe or maybe not but i just can't beat your raging love for books!
you and your tomes will grow old together and have lots of little baby books!

Mm. I'm sure my undeniable obsession with processed wood pulp covered in black scratchings raises me almost to the level of attraction of Dave, but it also renders me emotionally distracted from the everyday goings on of squishy pink humans and the like.

don't worry, rose.
this squishy pink human will tell you all about what other squishy pink humans like dave and jade are doing, so you won't have to miss out as you are in amorous love with those woody pulp books.
and possibly comic books.

we probably shouldn't say rose and books sittin' in a tree, k i s s i n g...
because books are made from trees?
i feel like that would be very culturally insensitive to all parties involved.

Even if I was inclined to press my lips to paper, it wouldn't be very satisfying. The sensation would not be returned.
Also, that's not an image I'd prefer to keep in my mind.

No, but plenty of doors, many unopened. I intend to correct that particular aspect of them in the near future. This ship is big enough to fuel the fire of several expeditions.

i've been through some of them...
they're ok, i guess?
i haven't really found any interesting.
there was a garden but then i got really hungry and i had to go.
but there's tons of stuff!

This ship is stocked with all manner of means of sustenance, things to do, and people to meet. Almost as if it wished to distract us from whatever purpose we find ourselves here for.
It's hard to imagine you being bored, though, John. There's plenty of people to prank.

i'm not bored!
i think you'll think it's pretty exciting too.
but it's really big and i'm kinda tired finding myself in weird places.
more annoyed than anything, i guess.

Why, John, you've only previously bounced between your home and the various locales of SBurb. Compared to others here, I'd say you've barely gotten started.
Surely there's a room full of pranking supplies you could use, too, if you didn't bring them with you. This ship is supposed to be exhaustively stocked.
I expect a purpose to reveal itself, but I do not know what it is. I have only the beginnings of theories, all implausible and none fully shaped.
