[He gets the figure of speech. The word exists in Ferelden. He just doesn't get why it would be such an improbable thing to call for rabbit voice suggestions.]
We didn't reach any conclusive conclusions on our own. What's the harm in consulting our friends and neighbors, hm?
He does seem gentle, except when he's got a barky twig. He can peel bark off a twig like a mabari shreds flesh off a bone. Maker, those little teeth are fierce.
I have good reasons for almost everything I do, I promise.
[Anders, too, has eaten rabbit. It's not uncommon fare in Ferelden. He can't exactly take umbrage, and yet it seems callous and cold to speak of Lodewijk that way.]
I wouldn't advise eating this particular rabbit. He's got protective friends. To be on the safe side, you might not want to try cooking any of the animals you find on this ship. They're likelier someone's pet, you know.
If we got hungry enough, we might not balk at eating worse than pets. But let's not hope it comes to that. Let's assume that there's no need to cook innocent, beautiful, fuzzy little creatures.
That's a good point. I never thought to ask, I'll admit. He's a sort of rabbit we don't have back home. Shall I ask his human whether he's a full-grown rabbit?
To share his point of view! And to provide crucial information about the gardens. Important for everyone, the oxygen garden, but especially important if you're a rabbit.
