[ so, video is what he's comfortable with using, for now. it's easy, and he doesn't have to do much to make sure it's legible or anything. so the feed will turn on and shake and jump around before it settles. it's been propped up on the bureau, leaning against the bed, and Lor's got his arm leaning on front of it, chin resting on his forearm. ]

Um. Hi. I know I'm not the only new guy here, but I still have to say, I'm..impressed. Where I'm from - [ the places he's lived, really, and he wonders which is the most accurate to draw from. ] - er, out of all the places I've seen, humans haven't really..developed this kind of technology. [ and his hand obscures the view for a moment as he picks it up, shifts it to aim at his bed. and there's the reason Lor is recording from the floor - there's a mooching asshole sprawled out in his bed. you may recognize him as

lacksgrace. there's a shift as the camera focuses on him, and Lor lowers his voice at little as he continues speaking. ]

That's Bells. He looks kind of harmless, and is a huge leech, but mostly he means well. So, if he's offended anyone in any way [ maybe that's when Bells looks rather sleepily at the camera, but it's only a glimpse before Lor turns it back to himself ] I'm sorry, on his behalf. Since I know he won't say it otherwise.

[ and then, from behind him: ] Lor? What the fuck?

...crap. Uh. [ and then there's rustling, as Bells starts to get up. ] Yeah, sorry for his being a dick.

[ oh my god. oh my god, is he actually pouting. is this-- is this what raising a son in the rebellious years is like, because Lor is equal parts amused and horrified. ]
