I know I ain't the first person who's come back here before. I mean however long the jump normally lasts? I went back home for a few weeks. Seems like there's always something. [Which she's fine with. She always seems to manage, make it through. But now with Bill being as brainwashed as he is, and everything completely fucked, it's taken a lot out of her.]

Guess I'm just wonderin' how y'all cope with knowin' that there's some pretty heavy shit goin' on back home, and there's nothin' you can do about it.

[She chews on her lip for a moment.] I think it's the not knowin' that's botherin' me the most. I ain't helpless. Best part'a bein' a vampire is you can really fuck some things up, but what do you do when another vampire-- who is supposed to be dead [thank you, Eric]-- is three thousand years old and about to attack like an entire race of-- well whatever fairies are? Not to mention someone close to you.

[She scrunches her face.] Sort'a. A Maker is someone who made me, who turned me into a vampire. Bill is mine. But-- it's a long story. Let's just say I'm really tired of religion.

[That's a little hard, too. She sighs.] Back home? Not really. I mean I was the youngest vampire around for awhile. The next youngest was Pam who-- well, you don't mess with Pam. I don't think she likes me, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't like many people. My closest friend-- it's complicated between us, and he's sisters with the fairy that the three thousand year old is goin' after.

[Not to mention she just glamoured her exboyfriend into forgetting her at his request.]

Tell me about it. Every time I get my footing back, I swear something else is giving me the chase of my life. [ it doesn't help that the Doors of Death are out of the Underworld's control; someone has them, which means nothing is staying dead. good people can get out but it generally applies to every monster he never wanted to see again or meet.

Yeah. I mean from the moment I was made, it's always been something. Bill had to protect Sookie, and then we had to go to Dallas, because a vampire went missing. Then we had to go home, and a maenad had taken over the town, and then Russell Edgington who is the crazy vampire who is gunna commit genocide-- well this was the first time he started on his 'vampires are gunna kill everyone' campaign. He was supposed to be dead. Bill became the King'a Louisiana after that. It was kind'a quiet, but then Sookie came back home and there was a mini war with vampires and witches. [She isn't going to talk about necromancy openly.] And now this-- just doesn't end.

[She shrugs lightly.] It's fine. Most of my life is pretty heavy lately. I'm currently trapped-- more like kidnapped again-- underground. It just doesn't look good. Vampires have tried so hard for like hundreds of years to be mainstreamed, but they've completely screwed it all, and are more concerned with eating humans which is making humans retaliate and just want to kill anything with fangs.

[ HOLY POSEIDON. ]

[ for once, someone on board sounds like their life is as complicated as his own. rest is a funny little thing that happens to people not them. he craves a break and he doesn't because whenever he gets one, he still feels like he's missing out. like he could be doing something with his time. ] I don't really want to be the one to say it but a cruise ship in space hell might actually be the mellow option.

[ not that choice comes into it. ] In my war, our target should be obvious. She's- everywhere. She's the ground, or she could be, at any moment. Gaea. But I have no idea how well that's going to play out, without me there to mediate. There's a bigger picture but there are two camps full of people like myself, that think they're standing on separate sides of a line when they're not. I believe in both camps, I know we can do it. But everyone's scared that because the Greeks and Romans have clashed before, we're going to again.

You know, when I first came, I didn't mind it too much, but at the same time, it was also boring. I'm used to more-- blood and you know-- [Sex.] Things to do.

Me too. [ he misses everyone but if they can't all be here to enjoy the peace and the hiccups of terror, it doesn't seem right. ] I've been trying to stay busy but you can only train or walk around so much. I don't drink or think about shoving people out airlocks and that seems to be what's popular lately. I keep hoping it's only talk about the last one.

Isn't it always? [ the big I word. immortal. he gives her a half smile, shaking his head no before he fills in the blanks. ] No, I'm very mortal. Not for lack of being offered the other one, though. What's it like, knowing you're going to live forever?

I can't drink, and if I wanted to kill someone, there's a fifty fifty chance I could kill someone here. Maybe higher? I don't know. [There were a lot of humans here. Not that she could kill everything else, but she was pretty strong. She just didn't have any beef with anyone on board. Well maybe Eric now.]

I am. But it wasn't really offered. When I was made, it wasn't my choice.
