Metallic. Too small and flat to be a container for food. Just what is it? It can't … words?… is this a letter? Can something like this really hold heart? … Just how …
Hm.
[ thoughtful silence before he decides to try it out. ]
Dear Whomever This May Concern.
Can you hear my heart? Can you answer the questions that it has?
Signed,
Doctor Thunderland Jr.
… did it really send without a Letter Bee? Or am I just fooling myself?

The state of my mind is well within acceptable perimeters for functioning in society and social settings.

Dear Doctor Thunderland Jr,
Though I have received your message,
I cannot hear the manner of your heart,
nor answer the questions it may pose.
You are correct in your estimation.
What you hold in your hands is a means to a letter,
or something quite like it.
Sincerely,
Alayne Stone.

Dear Alayna Stone,
It seems as though this is somewhat primitive as it is futuristic.
But it is good to know that my assumption was correct.
Now the question comes what to do with this knowledge.
As for the manner of my heart, it is presently confused.
The question posed now is what manner of vessel are we
traveling in, and what reason are we brought to this place.
Is it the will of Reverse?
Regards,
Doctor Thunderland Jr.

Dear Doctor Thunderland Jr,
I believe confusion is the appropriate response to finding yourself in such an unfamiliar place.
Many are upon first waking and many continue to be, long after.
As for your questions, I will do my best to answer them,
though I admit much ignorance in matters of 'technology' and the 'science' which accompanies it.
I only hope that my prolonged presence aboard the Tranquility will make some amends in closing that gap.
I have been told this ship sails amongst the stars,
and that once it had been used to transport people from place to place.
Settlers or some sort, though they are all gone.
Only we remain.
The Reverse is unfamiliar to me.
Nor have I heard mention of it during all of my time here.
Is that the name of your god?
Sincerely,
Alayne Stone.

Thank you for answering what you could.
I shall seek out the other questions elsewhere
as those are the ones that require answers presently.
No. Reverse is not my god.
Reverse is an anti-government group.
My god is my Empress.
That is the way of things.
And to be asked so innocently,
I can conclude I am very far from home.
Regards,
Doctor Thunderland Jr.
