[It figures that George's first post to the network would be private and locked to two specific people. He sends two quick messages.]

[Private to Peter Parker-or at least the person he suspects is Peter Parker]

[He suspects, because he read through that network post. Because over twenty years on the NYPD is enough to make him suspicious.]

[George looks a little tired but.] How would you feel if I told you I was looking at security as something to do to keep myself busy?

Police officers, sure, but there are people with a lot of experience in this sort of thing. Maybe. [ thinkthink ] Experience with space exploration, for one. And there are a few members of the crew that go by ranks, I've noticed, so they must have some military experience, right? Training.

You might be the first NYPD cop on board, though.

Honestly I haven't investigated it as closely as I would like. I wanted to talk to you first.

I'm not- [How to explain. He drums his fingers on the desk.]

Honestly. Gwendolyn. All day I've been reading stories about how this is a place that people do not want to get stuck or trapped and I find you here.

[Translation: He wants to be in a place where even if he's not directly involved in his daughter's life he can at least provide something for her. Protection, keeping an eye on things. Anything like that.]

When I was talking to someone about it and I mentioned you-they said they were sorry to see you here. How did you end up here in the first place?

What? Dad, I don't- I don't know. [ bewildered ] Honestly, I didn't have any control over how I got here. I didn't choose this.

[He's angry-not at her but at this place and these people and this position.]

I'm not saying you did. I just want to know if there's anybody I can talk to about it.

[He's dead. He's still trying to adjust to that. And the fact that his alive daughter and he have coincided..

His voice traps off and he taps his fingers on the surface, looking at his hands.]

Or if anybody has ever given an indication they might be behind it. Grabbing everyone. Not just you.

[ Gwen's shaking her head before he even finishing, wanting to have some kind of answer for him. ]

Nobody knows. I mean, really, nobody. Even the people that were here before they started taking us all on board, the two from the original crew. I know that there are people looking into the, um, the jump process? You know, the pods we woke up in. And there are people researching, collecting information and posting it for us to read on the devices, but I don't think anybody knows why.

The- [ she's scrolling through her comm now; ] -the two original crew members, their names are Ward, and Resnik. They are the... Captain and First Officer, respectively. I've never talked to them. And- And I'm not sure it's a very good idea to try without asking around first. I heard they're dangerous.

They're on a boat full of potential madman.]

...Has anybody given you problems? Or have they given anybody problems?

No. No, not me, I've actually only been met with kindness. Tired kindness, though, you know? Like they've been through a lot. [ and her expression drops a shade with the thought, like it's a sign that that's what they're in for now. her, and her dad. ]

If you meant Ward and Resnik specifically... No, I've never even seen them on the Network. I've only heard- [ hn ] I heard somebody died. A few months ago, before I got here. An engineer, I think. And they believe that those two are to blame. But there's no way to prove it.

This is starting to sound a lot like a Ridley Scott film. [He lowers his head] ...You know that if anyone has anything to say to you that's particularly unkind you can come to me now right?

I mean. [And this is so awkward.] ...Now that I'm here. Not interfering but. Here.

[How do you honestly handle coming back from the dead? Especially after your daughter mourned you.]
