[ Charles turns on the device and it defaults to video. He has cleaned up, found his room, and slipped on the blue sweater he found in the locker. He has taken seat near a desk, where he has piled his belongings. He appears to be thinking, as the disorientation has worn off, but it seemed to be the time to ask questions. ]

I've gathered a bit of information about this place, but more can always be useful. How secure is this?

[ His expression softens and he smiles a bit. It's weird asking questions, but he has founded that his ability is not quite up to par with what it was at home. ]

I could use a better idea of the locations of this place outside of the passenger quarters. Is there a map of this place? I have not yet had a chance to explore this ship, but I would prefer to avoid getting lost if at all possible. [ He barely skips a beat before he continues. ] And is there a library?

[ He pauses for a moment, considering his next few questions. He really needs to talk to - well, people from home. Sort out what had happened completely. And be caught up on anything that he may be missing, since he is certain there is something. That is best left for private and one-on-one conversations, and he isn't certain how secure it is yet. ]

I think I will pick up a book, if they are here; however, I would prefer to know what people do here to occupy their time. Or what it is that needs to be done.

[ He reaches up to turn off the device. ]

I'm Charles Xavier, by the way, if you need to reach me.

[ The vast corridor of passenger deck zero-zero-eight had, at first, seemed horrifyingly alien. The intermittent flickering of the lights above had produced shadows and patches of darkness of such intensity and oddness that it had seemed almost fantastic - some of them hadn't even made any sense, they had been so curiously shaped. But, as Durham's eyes had accustomed to the light (or lack thereof), he had realised that the peculiarly vaulted walls and ceilings weren't so alien after all. It was rather Gothic, he supposed; he'd seen such ribs along the great choir at Chartres cathedral, and plenty of other cathedrals besides. The familiarity had been surprising but, more importantly, oddly emboldening; the memories cemented a little link with home and suddenly the shadows weren't quite so scary as before. Perhaps he may still be able to call this place 'home' before long. With this in mind, Durham began to look for fellow passengers as he wandered along the passenger deck corridor - hands now drifting along the ribs of the vaulted walls as he passed.

The cabin doors were peculiar affairs and Durham had no patience to knock on each one in turn - instead, he took the easy option: to reach out with his power and tentatively seek out who might be behind each closed door - and perhaps what interesting memories, if any, they might possess. ]

[ Dunham will definitely find Charles fascinating. He can feel that tugging, like someone climbing uninvited through a window, and it makes him jump. It was an unfamiliar sensation to him. He removes himself from his chair at his desk, dropping his chess piece at his desk when he stands up. He makes his way to the hall and simply peeks his head out.

There was someone walking down it, and Charles could only assume he was the one tip-toeing around. Charles watches him for a moment before he steps out into the hall, closing the door behind him. He wants to speak up, but for now, he simply watches. ]
