The mess of curls and glasses quickly cuts off as Brendan switches to audio. Much, much easier for him. There's an audible breath in his pause, but finally, he talks. Keeping the light excitement in his voice. Trying to dash the hope before it's broken. He's cynical by nature. ]

I'm looking for a few people. A certain dame by the name of Emily Kostitch. Long, blonde hair, blue peepers. Jelly bracelet. [ A pause. ] Or a cat with glasses and a pair of dog tags, probably carrying a Rubik's Cube. Called Brain.

[ Brendan shuts the feed off. It's easier than explaining himself. There's nothing to explain.

What he does, however, is quietly find the correct floor and correct number--they've chit-chatted, but more importantly, he spotted the number on her arm during the jump and made a mental note of it.

He's quiet. Brendan doesn't knock, doesn't even try to get in. He leans against a wall, hands in his pockets, quiet, and it's 20 minutes later when he allows himself to slump against the wall. Crouching, hand cupping the other, he waits.

Wichita's got a lot on her plate and Brendan isn't about to let anyone hassle her right now. ]
