001 -- {audio}

This is Doctor Watson in medbay- well, one of them- and I'll need your full attention for a moment, please. [ He's phrasing it politely by all means, but this is a serious matter. It wouldn't be a request if he could help it. ]

We can confirm that a cure has been recovered from the maze, and that it is a legitimate one. Please report to medbay if you've been exhibiting any of the symptoms attached and haven't come in, I can't stress it enough. This is a fatal illness if it's left untreated, and there's no reason that it should be left untreated. We'll be getting to everyone as soon as possible. If you need help getting to us or know someone who does, speak up so we can make arrangements.

Thank you.

[ And attaching a list with dem symptoms. That part may take a minute to successfully attach, but it gets there. ]

Hello Doctor Watson. My name is Mary Campbell. I'm not sick but is there anything I can do to help you? I'd really like to do something.
marriedwinchester: (hey jude don't let me down)

Alright. I can do that. I'll head over now. And please, call me Mary. [There's a short pause as if she might hang up but then she speaks again.]

I have a quick question though, Doctor. Those of us who didn't get sick... What do you think that means?
marriedwinchester: (hey jude begin)

It would be a lot more comforting if it was just a fluke. I don't know... maybe I'm just worrying to much. It might be a blessing in disguise so we're able to help out everyone else who wasn't so lucky.

[You can almost hear the smile in her voice as she tries to assure him it's not bothering her. Really why should there be any big reason why a few of them didn't fall sick like the rest? But the truth is, the question still lingers in the back of her mind and shows so sign of leaving. So for now, she chooses to ignore it. There are more important tasks at hand.]

I'll just head over to the medbay then. Should I check in with someone when I get there?

Yes, I can understand that. And thank you, I'll head over now.

Have you been here long, Doctor?
cargojet: (Bleak disappointment)

'One of them'?
cargojet: (Puzzled)

[personal profile] cargojet 2012-06-29 12:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Can't say I understand what you mean. Or the idea of it being something you can just get along with. You don't think you're just going crazy?
cargojet: (Casual conversation)

[personal profile] cargojet 2012-07-02 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like you've got all the luck. Getting kidnapped like this is one thing, but having been through this more than once?

Have to admit if I was going crazy I don't think my mind would come up with space first either. It'd be an aircraft carrier with all its quadrants labelled wrong.

Are you keeping a headcount of who gets the treatment and who hasn't yet?

And do you have a master list of the people on the ship? I shouldn't like to see anyone be overlooked.

We have a list of who's been in. Unfortunately, not all of the ship believes in medbay, and we don't have access to any sort of crew list. We rely on people to come in themselves and look after who they know.

No one's getting 'overlooked'. The implication's sort of offensive.

[ I'm just saying. ]

...Fine. I don't want it to be a situation where someone has collapsed in their room and we don't know about it. Less offensive?
theblogger: (I disagree)

Sounds more sensitive, yeah, and less like the staff is incompetent.

Even though I'm saying precisely the same thing. Fine.

Precisely?

If I said 'The prosecution failed' and 'The defendant was proved innocent', is that precisely the same thing?

Yes.
