[It's taken almost a day for Taylor to really think over everything and make a decision. She isn't the quickest on her own; it's easier to follow orders, but no one's giving them to her. Both Tommy and Dean are sick, probably more people that she hasn't even had a chance to check on, and she can't just sit around waiting to see if anyone that's followed the smile brings back anything that will help. She needs to move.]

Don't want to listen to that thing. Don't want to wait until people are dead for it to be worth a shot.

[It's a heads up to all the people who know how loud she's been about not playing with the smile. She's giving over this time. She's got reason to.]

I'm going into the maze. Could use some back up. If anyone's capable + still around.

Get the right sort. Train them properly. They'd be fine.

what sort?

Loads. Lab or golden retriever would be the easiest. Yorkie, maybe dachshund if you want something small.

it'd probably have to be able to hold its own in a fight. run into all sorts of shit.

German shepherd. Boxer.

got bit by a shepherd when i was a kid.
think it'd be kind of fitting to have one.

They're good dogs.

[She's got one (of course she does), but she'd still probably say that about any breed.]

yeah, i deserved it at the time. still have the scar.

[She's going to make a wild guess here, because they were good guard dogs and good trackers, but they were pretty well known for one thing in particular.]

Police?

surprisingly no. i was stealing, though; had to eat somehow. got me above the hip.

[ She's babbling, even over text. Part of her is aware that she shouldn't be, that it doesn't make sense, but then she gets dizzy again and keeps going. ]

[She doesn't really understand that Jaye's babbling, but she knows she just got more an answer than she was expecting. More than she really knows how to react to, either, and her reply is delayed for a while because of it,]

Sounds tough.

[ And Scott had cleaned the bite the best he could, and by some miracle it didn't get infected. He'd lectured her to be careful, because she was all he had, and she had done her best to listen. ]

[This isn't getting any better, she seriously has no idea what she's meant to be saying.]

[ Neither does Jaye. ]
