[ Being used to space travel made this situation no less unusual to adapt to - it was certainly different when you were unaware of your location, your friends and crewmates were missing and you had no access to the computers, or much helpful information ]

The predicament that we have found ourselves in is greater than anything that I am aware of from history, even with noted examples. From what I have been informed the majority of the passengers aboard this ship are unfamiliar with space travel, or are even from an era where it has yet to exist?

[ Oh, this was breaking so many rules. But... this wasn't her situation, but simply another thing to try and help and resolve as easily as possible like with Doctor Cochrane. The similarities were, frankly, astounding ]

[ They're in charge of where they're going but not whatever is bringing everyone here, or what sends them back... ]

The Enterprise-D was a family ship, built in size and with function for families and their children. Is there anything here that has been set up or would have been similar before our arrivals?

[Jim doesn't respond to her first comment, because he already knows it isn't enough; but to her second question he nods.]

The ship is outfitted for colonization, so it's pretty much a glorified hotel. [then his brow creases, because her ship sounds nothing like his own.] What was Enterprise-D's mission?

We explored the galaxy, meeting new cultures, helping those that needed it. [ And there's a small pause, and then an equally small smile ] The Enterprise remained the Federation's flagship.

[he's not sure how he feels about kids going on a cross-galaxy mission, but maybe his own experiences have jaded his opinion on the matter. either way, he's- pretty pleased about the latter information. he smiles a touch.]

There's no other place she should be.
