[ asa is smiling a little into the camera, shy, brows drawn together a little worriedly and deer-like ears flattened back. his hair's pulled back into a braid, small black antlers unadorned and stark against his red hair.

he shifts in the camera, blushing faintly as he buries his hands in his shirt. as usual, he's in the oxygen garden. ]

Hello. Um. I know that a-- a lot of you are new and-- well. Anyway, I'm Asa, and I-- That is, if you need anything specific from the oxygen garden or a plant that wouldn't normally grow here, I can.. grow it for you. Just-- Just so you know.

[ he shifts slightly from foot to foot, blush darkening, looking embarrassed. ]

I-- I don't know if anyone can help, but-- my boots were ruined, and-- I have.. uh. I-- have unusual feet, so.. is there anywhere I can get a.. custom.. pair..?

[ he sighs quietly, wilting a little. ]

That's what I'm afraid of. I suppose I can go barefoot with no problem, but.. but it doesn't seem polite, really.

[ Garden: place where one grows plants and small produce. Oxygen: breathing gas emitted by plants. Name slightly redundant but Death is more curious about what is and can be grown there. It is a while since he has seen green. Or gold. He prefers the long and gold. It reminds him of home. ]

[ he actually visibly startles a little at the voice, eyes going wide in his face. ]

U-Um, I-- I think I've seen corn. If not, I could find a place to grow some for you if you'd like.

[ Death pauses. He's been idle for about three months now with no deaths to attend to and the universe has not come tumbling down their heads yet. He is not being terribly missed, is he? ]

[ For once, Death had time without a timer and nothing bad was happening. ]

[ Was this what people called a holiday? ]

[ asa offers a blink at the question, a little startled despite himself. after a few moments, though, he dips his head in a small, hesitant nod, offering a faint smile. ]

W-Well.. if you'd like, I wouldn't say no.

[reaperman]

[ Another pause while Death momentarily listens to the steady stream of lives running out. None of them seemed to be running out soon so he supposed that he had time to spare. ]

Oh, umm.. just.. come to the garden, I guess. I'll find you.

[ After Tali introduced Death to elevators, getting around the Tranquility was so much easier. Combined with the handy map in the comm device, it didn't take him too long to find the entrance of the garden. ]

[ Stepping in, it was a relief to see colours other than the metallic grey and electric blue of the ship. Easier on the eyes for one. Much less like a moving crypt as well. Ironically, Death rather preferred being surrounded by life rather than... well... death. ]
