[Josias looks quite different to his first appearance. Paler, without his glasses, and there's blood smeared on his cheek. His speech is less stuttering and hesitant, but slower, as if sleepy.]

I appear to be in need of medical assistance. [He rubs a hand over his face, a little more blood left smeared on his forehead.] If someone could help me to the medbay, I'd appreciate it. My room is zero zero six, zero zero three. I've opened the door.

[There's a very tentative knock - she wasn' sure if she should come, but here she is. She's not sure how much help she can be, but at least she's a pair of shoulders to lean on. She opens the door and peeks in.]

[action] yes, though bones is going to take him to the medbay!

[He's sat against the wall with a blanket wrapped around himself, quite close to the door. He hadn't wanted to waste the energy to get further back inside. He looks up at the knock, as she peeks her head inside, gives a small smile.]

Hello. I'd get up to greet you, but I'm afraid standing leaves me rather dizzy.

[She has in her hand a bit of extra fabric and in the other her communication device. She moves in carefully and holds up her communication device.]

I don't know how much help I can be but I can try my best.

[He raises and eyebrow at the offered screen, realising fairly quickly that she must be unable to speak. He needs his glasses to read properly, but they're over the other side of the room, so he makes do with squinting.]

That will be a help. [He lifts a hand free of the blanket to point at the fabric she's holding - the arm in question having several bloody scraps wrapped around it already.] I've destroyed my bedding already.

[Sorry, Josias. Alex didn't tell him that you just look like his friendemy.]

[A sigh.]

We've been over this, haven't we? I'm not this 'Hank McCoy', or any of the other names you choose to call him.

[He rolls his eyes.]

[He taps the scar on his head.]

Call me Havok. You got someone coming to get you?

Fantastic. As if things weren't ridiculous enough already.

[Though really, he was one to complain, being a source of facial confusion for the Alexes himself.]

Yes. [A pause, considering.] At least I would like to hope that's what 'on my way' means. I did receive some rather unhelpful help the first time I tried to communicate on this thing.

[This is pretty much exactly the kind of thing Bones has been on the lookout for, since he arrived. Not for any particular reason other than it's always easier to respond to trouble if you're expecting it all the time.

He sends a quick reply to the video transmission -- a simple, clipped "On my way" -- and grabs up the little medkit he put together the minute he was left alone long enough with the medbay supplies. It's nothing more than what's needed for primitive triage, but it's something. Not too much time has passed before he hurries through the door.

What happened, kid?

[He's sat on the floor near the door, wrapped in a blanket to try and keep some warmth in him, as well as cover up the extent of the damage. No need to immediately alarm anyone coming by.]

That-- [He lifts one arm free of the blanket, gestures limply. There's several bloody scraps of fabric tied around it at various places.] What did they call it, fear toxin? I was hallucinating.

[Well that doesn't look good. McCoy kneels next to the man, pulls the blanket away enough to see his arm.]

How'd you get injured? Anywhere other than your arm? Still hallucinatin' at all?

[action]

[He might be a bit more reluctant to tell the whole story, is actually feeling quite embarrassed over it, really. But he had asked for help and the man speaks like a medical professional - straight to the point, no nonsense. So Josias shrugs the blanket off the rest of the way, revealing that his chest and other arm are in no better condition that the first.]

I cut myself. All over.

[A slight shake of his head, tentative for how dizzy he's feeling.]

I would assume not, but then, I'm not sure I'd be able to tell if I was. I'm not prone to this sort of behaviour. It was all quite convincing.

To be fair, I wasn't in my right mind.

I feel like being pedantic. [Or facetious.] Technically I wasn't myself, therefore it wasn't me that did it.

That toxin they've been talking about, it seems. [A pause, considering.] I rather hope so, anyway. Otherwise I may have temporarily lost my mind for no particular reason.

You're on a spaceship. I'd lose my mind for no reason, too.

Did you get into a fight with someone? [ blood on your cheek, dude. doesn't look good. either someone attacked someone or this toxin isn't very good for the skin. ]

[stimulations]

Yes, right. The spaceship.

[He's still under the belief he's in a virtual construct, though it's a belief recently shaken by the fact no safeguards came in to prevent him doing what he did to himself. Still, one problem at a time, and he sweeps that one aside for the more immediate issue of his health.]

Myself, unfortunately. I was hallucinating. Quite severely.

[ not here! ]

[ this is the sound of Raven's heart jumping up into her throat. she almost turns on her comm to say something, but then she's listening and it's not Hank, but- and-

well, someone's answered his call for help, so. she's just going to throw her comm at her pillow and pretend to not be freaking out. maybe eventually she'll get up the nerve to talk to not-Hank, but. not yet.]

[You will hear Stats saying 'I'll be right here' and shutting his comm off, and, a few minutes later, he'll be coming to your room.]

[No blushing or stammering at the 'handsome' this time. Blood loss has loosened his tongue and made his mask slip, and he's not really of the mind to pull it back. Blood loss was also a handy excuse to blame it on later, as long as he didn't say too much.]

Tumble isn't quite the word I'd use, no.

[ Blood loss, a bit of Dornish red, power placed in the right (or wrong) hands. Those were the kinds of things that revealed a man's true mettle (or, more often, the lack thereof). Ros does very well at pretending not to be interested but she is. Some handsome boys are just that — handsome — while others are much more (or much worse). ]

Seems a terrible thing, for anyone to pick on the likes of you. A bit craven, really. [ An eyebrow arches. ] What was it, then?
