Seems like we're supposed to make some kind of introduction. So, I'm Sam. You probably know my brother Dean; he's been here a while.

[There's another pause, and he manages to put together the tiniest of smiles, and it's there, although a tad grim-looking.] I'm still figuring out how things work around here, so feel free to through out some advice. Thanks in advance.

[That's pretty much the wrong thing to say, but Sam doesn't let it show. Instead, he fights off memories of the real Hell, and takes a deep breath.]

... No, I think I've got it. Just trying to adjust, at this point.

[The feed opens and Mary is just sort of... staring. She's never met her younger son or seen what he looks like- hell she hadn't even known he existed until the week before- but as soon as she heard his name and Dean's, she knew exactly who he was. And it was all more than a bit overwhelming. It takes her a little while to say anything as she searches for traces of John and herself in his face. She opens and closes her mouth a few times before she finally manages to make a sound.]

...Sam?

[Sam knows who the woman on the other end of the feed is the minute he sees her. After all, he was killed trying to stop an angel from murdering her, once. So that he wouldn't be born. He looks a bit disheveled, but feigns a smile for her sake.]

Yeah... that's me.

[He doesn't say anything further, for now, in case she doesn't remember, or hasn't been told. Last time they met, her memories had been wiped after.]

You- you know who I am... right? Dean said- he told me- [Mary lets out a shaky breath and gathers her thoughts. A cautious smile trembles on her lips.] Dean told me you met me once.
