[There’s a little shuffling and confusion as the camera is adjusted to just the right angle. A frowning face takes the place of the blurred hand that blocked the lens a moment ago and Tadashi fiddles with the feed a moment more before stepping back.

He hesitates, then pulls a baseball cap onto his head after running his hand back through his hair.

There. Everything is settled. Tadashi tugs a lopsided smile into place, but his expression is still thoughtful.]

This is Tadashi Hamada speaking.

[Another hesitation. He runs one hand over his face.]

My brother and I have been on board this... this ship for a few days now. I haven’t met many of you in person yet, so I wanted to go ahead and introduce myself. I'm taking the time to go through all of the information that's been provided and I'm still working on getting my bearings, but I just wanted to say that I'm willing to help out wherever I'm needed for now.

Back home I was a student of robotics. I was working with AI systems as well. If that's of any use to anyone, please don't hesitate to call on me.

[Tadashi offers something of a half smile, reaches forward, then disconnects the feed.]

[Harry pushes his glasses up and smiles.] We could really use skills like yours over here. It'd be the best place, I think. For you as well as us I'd hope. [Yes. us. there's a wizard in Engineering.]

[Oh boy. Tadashi's starting to realize that there are some decisions in his future.]

I won't pass up a tour if you're offering.

[Harry nods easily, folding his arms on the table.] Sure, mate, [he says.] I'm only a trainee, but I know the names and basics of most things in there now. [Well, most things that are need-to-know, at any rate. Naturally some of Tadashi's more high-fallutin' questions will be met with 'it's a thing that does something to do with pressurization. I think,' and sidelong glances exchanged with random pipes.]

You can bring your brother as well, if you like.

[Perfect. Hiro needs to get out and meet people just as much as Tadashi does. If they're going to understand this place enough to find a way out and back home to Aunt Cass, making friends seems like one of many obstacles they need to work through. Fortunately, Tadashi enjoys meeting people.]

Okay.

[Tadashi nod and casts a glance back over his shoulder, looking to where Hiro is working on his gear He's sending Hiro a questioning look, checking if he's on board or if pouting will be in order to drag him along. Making a decision, he turns back to the screen and offers a smile.]

Learning about the basics works for us. Probably. When and where?

[Unable to see a cranky Hiro-chan, Harry is left to assume that things are going well. He smiles widely at the older of the two, glancing over his shoulder as if to check if his supe is around. Not apparently.]

I'll check my schedule, but I wager I can do it most mornings without leaving anything unattended. I don't usually start 'til after lunch. [He looks a little sheepish. Does that make him lazy?] I'll pick you up from the Medical Bay. We can connect up to the orange lifts from there.

OOC: Quik reminder of my potential hiatus, unless you don't mind slowtags!

[The Medical Bay is one place Tadashi has made sure to retrace his steps to a few times -- he hasn't actually gone in to speak with anyone yet, but it's on his agenda soon. Especially now that it's sinking in that there's nowhere to go -- they really are trapped here. Regardless of that, the Medical Bay. It sounds like a good meeting spot.]

Great. Just let me know what day works best and we'll make this happen.

[He does cast a glance back to Hiro, noting his expression and lifting an eyebrow at him -- they'll have to talk this over later. That, or he'll have to seize the other boy by the ankles again and just carry him off.

Turning his attention back to Harry, Tadashi offers a half smile.]

It's not pouting per se. But he's definitely not entirely on board with Tadashi's plans for him.]
