Um, hi. I need to speak to Ward and Resnick if I may? I think I've completed a data collector, or will by the time the ship jumps again. Would it be possible for me to install it near the engines to collect data?

That might help us understand what is going on, from waking up here to the recent events. Or at least why so many people from different worlds are showing up here, and maybe even the disappearances.

Due to their link with the jumps? [ Space travel is so new ]

Yes. The engines produce a phenomena that I've been studying and didn't think that it was in the realm of practical, let alone possible. It was all theoretical until I woke up here.

What were you researching? [ Not that she knows but apparently humans take an interest in this kind of thing, and it may be useful? ]

Enstein-Rosen bridges, or wormholes. Basically getting from one point in space to another point without having to travel at sublight speed. Which would take forever in some cases.

Many here appear to be familiar with space travel. [ She isn't ]

Which is so cool, I think. We only managed to get to the Moon with humans, and robots on Mars, and here there others who are used to traveling in space.

It is unsettling. Consideration of life different to that of our own was not something done.

Romdeau citizens were not created with that mindset.

Romdeau lifestyle is different to what I have heard here.

I would think so. [a bit hastily] Which isn't bad, just different, of course.

I would think so. Do you think it's a good difference, or a bad one?

I am uncertain. I have limited experience with these thought patterns.

Ah, I see. New things can be difficult to adjust to. I've had the same trouble, since I had no earthly idea about space travel between planets and stations being possible. On Earth we haven't been to the Moon in decades.

But you have some knowledge regarding it?

Theoretical mostly, but being here has given me much practical knowledge.
