oo1-[Voice]
[The voice that speaks is calm and even, with a rumbling Nordic accent.]
A vessel of lost souls drifts through the stars and her name is Tranquility. An unfit appellation for a place that so frequently seems to be in a state of dire urgency.
[A calculated pause]
As I am now trapped within these walls, I suppose I should offer my hand: I am Loki, and I will lend my strength and my power to you for as long as I am able. Consider it recompense for the illusions you now see. I was panicked and angry when I awoke and, in my foolishness, I lashed out at my very surroundings. For this, I do apologize, 'twas an honest mistake.
Speak, now! If Loki is to assist, he would know more of the people that haunt these corridors alongside him.

............... and action
I don't think I quite heard you right. Do speak again.

[It takes only a moment for him to swing a hand outward and lift his other self off the floor.]
Does the truth hurt so much?
[He swings the other Loki through the air and stops just before slamming him into the wall.]
You, too, were taken off the snowy peaks of Jotunheim, correct? Did you ever wonder why?

This would get inconvenient. This other.. he was stronger, he knew he was stronger. Not that Loki himself was uncapable, more than so for certain, but still. Perhaps the jump would have left him a little ragged, the reincarnation a little less wealthy -- he knew that this place pressurized the flow of magic through himself and one could hope it did the other.
So with a narrow of his eyes, concentrate. Push that pressure away, and slowly lower his body. Yes. Do show him of what you are capable. Allow him to experience, allow him to learn. He'll take the jab to his pride if it promises power, he did with Thanos. ]
Indeed, and I know quite well why. [ He did not, but his belief was strong enough to make truth. Was that not what truth was, anyway? A collected belief. ]
One must wonder what you risked your life for to such Golden Lands. Even after your death they would weep for the losses of their own before they would have any care that you had tried to end it!

[He is impressed that this other Loki has managed to resist his psionics but with another gesture he blasts him backwards anyway.]
And I think you are ignorant to why it is that Odin took you in.
You were intended-always intended-to make Thor the hero. That is Loki's fate across stars: Thor is Golden and Loki is as black as disease, madness and decay.

Face cringing in the strength of it. Loki was adaptable. Loki experienced; he learned. he fell through the gap of space for days upon days, months, maybe years, in through that nothingness, and he lived when he had not wanted to. If he wanted to...
Resilience was his blessed curse amongst many others. So his fingers curled and resist he did. Although, with the slightest slouch, he laughed. Wicked, twisted, terrible laugh. ]
Think you I know know of it? This fate. This monster I must be?
[ Look behind you. There's a blade you might almost recognize in his hand, the one behind. Sharp and curved with a nasty angle. ]

[He does not look behind him, but he is aware of the simulacrum being there. Let it come.]
I speak of the monster that you are. For if you were not, Thor would not be the favored son. Do you not see?
You are the darkness by which all of Asgard sees the Thunderer's light! Loki is brought up beside Thor as his villain, he is given naught but ridicule in the place of love. They refuse to see goodness in you, despite your greatest efforts, for how can any good come of a Frost Giant? They molded you into a monster from the beginning to galvanize Thor's goodness.
That, little serpent, is your lot in life.
[And his own, he had to admit. But then....he'd manipulated time. He'd made himself the serpent at the throat of Asgard, hadn't he? In the end, Odin, too, had been his pawn.]
[He lifts a hand, fire forming in his palm.]

Everyone needed a villain. Everyone needed evil. ] Shut up.
[ Dead cold, too cold. The knife goes in and in his shake of wrath, in such unadulterated hate (for himself) ice would consume that fire. Perhaps not for long, but it would... until he takes the blade back and stumbled a bit. Feet fall back, and back again, and back again.
Was he, had he -- panic, but no skin had changed color. He swallowed.
He needed to leave. He was cornered, he could not win this fight. ]

[What pains him the most is that he'd had to do any of this...but he's right. He's sure of it. A hero's radiance is defined by the darkness of the villain. For countless aeons he's been that darkness and he's learned to see it in others. Now, to gain the trust of people on this ship, to get a chance to go home and crawl back into oblivion, he needs his own villain. And who better than his other self? Who better than this other self that people were already wary of? He has to define their differences in the eyes of the other passengers.
He has to define his own radiance.
With that, he stumbles out of the room, allowing the wound to remain open in his back. He sobs, chokes, and scurries away.... Forever playing the victim.]

Instead, he stood there. Lost in that mind, the blackness, knowing it was true. Villain. Monster, Beast. Horrible destructive carnal thing like the ice he -- like he -- like what he had just -- and ...
It took a lot of thought to pull himself out of that spiral and look around. Reassess. Where was he, was he safe, was it quiet? Heart stuck in his throat. What had he -- just done? What had he just done? He cared little of the blood spilled but the ice, the ice. He was one of them.
And he would tuck himself in the corner there, far into the corner, in to the shadows. This thing he would become. Breathing nice and slow.
Cold.
In the cold. ]
