Maybe they're not who brought us here. If Ward and Resnik have told anyone how or why that happened, it hasn't trickled down to the general population yet, which means the person (people) we really need to be concerned about are still waiting for their cue.
But they can bring us here without resorting to cryptic messages and emotes, so why the shift? I'd say we're dealing with two problems here, not one. Which is... a concern.
