Yes, it wouldn't do to just let this ship fall into more shambles and there are far too many lives on it that it would go against everything to not help keep such eventualities at bay. There's also the issue of the system itself. Camera placements, motion sensors, evacuation layouts. Emergency plans in case of fire or air lock breach.

We need to get an exploration team together. To map out important areas and figure out what can and can not be salvageable in regards to immediate and long term necessity.
